Sorry Kingelk but don't know how to get your comment to appear for my reply. However, it is a DSG auto and the reason I want to see the gear because I've found in other cars, my Kia and before that a VW Jetta, as I use Cruise Control a hell of a lot that at say 49mph it can be in 6th but by increasing it to 50mph it will slip into 7th and save me money on petrol/diesel. Again sorry Sk0mk4 but your comment regarding Sport mode sounds good and i'll try it, thanks. And to everyone else - Once you've moved to DSG auto you'll never go back.... absolutely superb and better than other automatics. Also the Adaptive Cruise Control I was dreading as previously only had ordinary CC and thought how much fuel it would waste braking and slowing down. On my first motorway trip yesterday very pleasantly surprised - makes driving that little bit less hassle and by having a short distance and good observation so you don't get hemmed in and overtake in plenty of time, it doesn't need to slow you down much but is so good in a queue.

Picked my Octavia 2.0 150 TDI SE L DSG up yesterday, 2 weeks short of a year. Cars good but the manual (both on-line and paper are a nightmare to understand. Haven't even figured how to turn radio off yet other than mute it! And can't get a decent display, so don't know what gear it's in, how many miles of range left and struggling to get phone contacts to download. Oh for my previous Kia Optima - so easy and all info only a button away.

Hi, Got some good news on Tuesday when I went in to dealer to sign papers and was told car was there! Picking it up on Tuesday, almost a year since ordering. Looks good - I'd forgotten what it looked like as there's none on the road that I ever see.

Hi, Just got message that my Octavia Hatch 2.0 150 DSG SEL has gone into build and dealer says he's expecting it end of next month - if so will be just over 11 months since order.

Hi, ordered Octavia Oct 21, given estimated delivery of 7/4/22. Currently driving a Kia Optima on lease which ran out end of Jan. Dealer now extended del to July earliest. I've got another 3 month extension to lease to cover but doubt I'll get another. Not sure how I'm going to keep driving reading these posts. Totally depressed and wish I'd read this site before I ordered.
