  1. It worked! I did try it this way before with normal usb and it didn’t work. I haven’t done the full update yet, but it seems to be working fine. How long does it take? Many thanks!
  2. I have 2 laptops, one with windows 10 and one with windows 11. I’ve tried both because I needed an sd card adapter for the newer laptop. I must be doing something wrong?
  3. Used a brand new 32gb sd card and still getting same error.
  4. Cairus was kind enough to send me the update, but I’ve loaded it onto a fat32 formatted usb stick and put in the usb slot and try to update, usb option is greyed out? I know the usb slots works fine with car play etc. Any ideas how to get this working? System is constantly rebooting now 👎🏻
  5. Thank you for speedy response Cairus. Where do I download Update SW0480? Is there a tutorial somewhere?
  6. My infotainment system keeps randomly rebooting and sometimes I’m unable to use any functions like sports mode and Bluetooth etc, because it thinks the keys aren’t in the ignition. I did have the same issue a year ago when my alternator was on its was out. It’s been fine for a year so and now it’s started again. I’ve had the battery and alternator tested today, both working fine. I’ve contacted main dealer and it’s £120 to do software update that may not even fix? Am I able to update myself with usb or sd card? I can only see maps and radio logos on Skodas website. Skoda SE technology 1.5tdi 2019 mk3
  7. I drive a 2019 skoda Octavia 1.6TDI and use it for Uber/Bolt. It’s done 65k miles (with extended warranty). The issue started approximately a month ago. The EML came on so I had the dealer I bought it from diagnose and they suggested a forced regen, which cost £136. 450 miles later the EML came back on, so they diagnosed again and force regen again for ‘free’. 650 miles later the EML comes back on, plus I noticed the fan isn’t kicking in when it supposed to regen. They diagnose it for a 3rd time and tell me I need a new DPF £2815. I take it for a 30 mile run to try and get it to regen and the coil light starts flashing and it went into limp mode. So I did a little research and find a DPF cleaning specialist local to me. They diagnosed it for free and tell me that it needs a new ‘throttle body’ which I bought the part and they fitted for me and cleared the fault codes. I did 1000 miles and EML came back on, so I take back to same place and they diagnose it again and now tell me the EGR cooler needs replacing due to low pressure, and since they need to take off the DPF they will terraclean it as well. They’ve quoted me £800 for parts and £700 for labour, so £1500 which includes the VAT. I took this information back to the dealer and spoke to the service manager who offered to diagnose it again, but said because it’s extended warranty it is harder to get skoda UK to cough up without visual proof the EGR cooler needs replacing, so they may need to remove it which is a big job and I may liable for the cost of labour? If the £1500 option fixes my issue, I’d happily pay it and get on with life. I’m just worried this will go on and on. thanks for reading… I live near Portsmouth and would welcome a 3rd opinion.
