Hi everyone,
I'm a "fresh" owner of Skoda Superb 3, 2.0 tdi, DSG 6. I have a few question because I don't know if this things is normal. I love cars and I hear everything from my car so I want my car to be in excellent condition.
1. Some metal noise, clunk when shifting from 3rd to 2nd. It's really obvious for example when I drive in traffic jam and when I drive 1-2-3-stop. I read on some forum and this is pretty common sound on DSG. Is that flywheel (DMF) maybe?
2. I just drove 3 hours on highway and stopped on gas station. After 2 minutes I turned car on and it shook a little when starting. Is this normal? After 15 minutes I was started it again and it was normal, without shook. Maybe this can be DMF also?
3. I feel a small vibrations at high speed (140-155 km/h, just at that speed). I balanced the wheels and it is less noticable but this vibrations is still there. For comparisson, my brother have Tiguan with the same motor and with more kilometers than my Superb and Tiguan is very smooth on high speed. Steering wheel is not vibrating, I just feel small vibrations from the bottom of the car, my seat transmits vibrations.
4. I drove some pretty damn uphill in 1st speed (manual). When I came to the top I needed to go in Reverse. When I put it in reverse on level ground the car hesitated a bit and seemed to jerk a little when it went to reverse.
5. It seems to me that passenger seat has better lumbar support than driver seat. I have style seats with memory, but my seat seems to have a smaller support plate. How can I reset my memory seat?
6. Does the electric tailgate have some symptoms before thay go bad?
All in all, apart from these things, Superb 3 is great! I'm very satisfied with the comfort and driving and also with the quality of the materials in interior.
