Hello All!
I was going to replace all window aperture seals (6Y9839477B) in my MK1 Fabia, since one was already coming off, and they all look pretty washed out. When I took the parts to the mechanic he said he can't replace them since the holding clips are missing or broken. Seems like they were broken before and when the previous owner took the car to the repair shop, they put some adhesive onto one clip so it could still hold the seal.
I looked up in the internet, but the part I was looking for (6Y0837446B) is out of stock pretty much everywhere in the world. I took a chance and visited local Skoda parts shop, and they had only a single clip, and I need 8 (or at least 2, the other seals seem well fitted, though my mechanic recommended replacing all of them). Therefore I have two questions. Firstly, how can I remove this clips to insert the new ones. Secondly, can this be done without damaging the clip? In case of a situation where I won't be able to locate new clips, would I be able to salvage one from scrapped Fabia? Or maybe someone here owns these clips and would be willing to sell them?
