  1. Thankyou all for your help , local garage cured problem . Reverse switch was not functioning. Supplied and fitted £40. i was happy at that. Thanks again.
  2. Thats cool im going to pop the car into a small local garage (someone i know and use regularily) and have it looked at next week , i'll pass any info onto him, thankyou
  3. You wernt wrong about the manual, i used VIN , different manual fuse allocation is the same but rating is 10 amps . I swapped the bulbs , bulb is okay. So as you hinted at it is more than likely a broken wire.
  4. good morning , i just used 5/2008 also but the fuses all correspond to what is illustrated on the fuse box cover.
  5. Many thanks , i have downloaded the manual this morning. Fuse no.12 in my case is 10 amps and its intact.
  6. Good afternoon, ive just been informed by a fellow motorist that my reverse light is not working, ive checked the bulb (ok) and looked for the fuse (no.6 according to an online manual) however the fuse box does not have a fuse in bay no.6 and it also seems to differ to the fuse box shown online. It was working previously, and help on this would be appreciated. I would hate to take it to a garage just to sort out a trivial problem such as this, thanks in advance. (2008 fabia combi)
  7. Good advice , i have a greater understanding this evening of the front brakes on my Fabia. Thankyou to all. Regards...

  9. Hi , yes all itemised. current miles 74,000 2020 bill £843.31 ! mot fee screen wash dust filter filter element spark plug plug washer edge professional LL front coil spring nuts & bolts brake light bulb (requirement F) carry out brake service br & clean requirement f = £43.04 brake fluid change £40.57 check rod bolt and screw new service book A/C re-gas and various miscelaneous.. 4 pages altogether.... this is just listed as is , the paperwork i have is much more detailed.
  10. Judging by the amount of paperwork that came with the car, im guessing half of the bill was administration costs.
  11. Front discs pads fluid replaced 20,000 miles ago , this done in 2016.. Regards
  12. Thankyou to both for the excellent replies, Just been sifting through paperwork , last mot and service 6th jan. Full service and MOT carried out by independent garage. itemised.. full service , (all the usual work carried out , no mention of fluid "full brake check as required" Noise defo from front . Discs clean and shiny apart from outer edge, No advisories on last mot. Also Jan 2020 (main dealer mot/service) brake fluid changed, rear brakes fully serviced. All in all the mot /service just short of £900. I guess if you want to be 100% visual inspection is the only way . many thanks again.
  13. I should add to the above the mileage since last service is only 700 miles...
  14. Good day to all, i have purchased just recently a wonderful Fabia 2 Estate 1.2 htp 2008 plate , one owner from new . Skoda dealership service history up to date , with the last service being in late January of this year. Brakes are excellent , with a very positive response when you apply the peddle. At a speed under 10 mph , i notice a little noise (not grinding , more a rubbing sound) No noise at higher speeds and as i say they work very well. I am very sensitive to any noises when buying/and or driving a recently purchased car. (too much TBH). I just wondered if the pads could be worn (inspection and service of brakes Jan 2022). also as a side note does this car have a warning light that would indicate worn pads. Full respect and thanks in advance for any replies. Regards ...
