Delivery times?
My condolences for your loss. I feel you because I am in the same situation as you were/are. My mom died, too, in July this year. Last year when I placed the order, I was hoping I'd be able to drive her in a new car. Sadly she passed prior. I like the Octavia model also because of the large boot, that's why I ordered it. I used the existing car (I would have been using the new one) for the same reason as you, to pack it with a wheelchair and rollator. I had the same dilemma as you, to cancel the order and buy something smaller and cheaper or keep the order. I decided on the latter. I've been waiting for it for 14 months, and now it has already been confirmed a build date. The existing car I have has quite some years, too, and it's time to upgrade to a new one. So many things have changed during this waiting period...

Delivery times?
Maybe some lucky ones get the car after six months, but the majority of us after at LEAST 14 months.π Referring to the removal of additional equipment: it seems to me that all extra or "not so necessary equipment" for car operations, which include cable harnesses or chips to be built in, is eliminated by the car manufacturer by the trade-off principle. Those cable harnesses are used instead in the production of the regular, standardised car versions or where possible, in the EV versions. When the resources (inputs) are scarce, they prioritise their use, based on their profitability targets. And due to the increase in prices of inputs (inflation); materials, energy, workforce etc. and the scarcity and setbacks in the supply chains: they cut out some extra equipment options and, on the other side, increased the end (market) prices of new cars. All the point here is the profitability of the Skoda company, not individual orders. The most probably institutional orders (such as from police) are a priority due to mass order and delivery requirements stipulated in the purchase contracts. In contrast, the individual orders, as discussed in this thread before; the cars with higher profit margins go into the production sooner than the others (the ones with a waiting period of over 12 months for a build date).

Thank you π. Until I see it with my eyes in person, parked at the dealer's premises, I don't believe it either π. I was expecting delivery by the end of this year, to be honest, based on what's happening. We'll see how it will unfold.

I have a similar production schedule, and I placed the order 11 days after you, I checked in the xls.spreadsheet π.

Delivery times?
Hi guys, I just received a call from the car dealer. He told me that there is a preliminary confirmation of my order π to get into production in the next two weeks. The estimated delivery date is sometime at the beginning of October. Well, I'll see how it unfolds, but at least there is hope or "eppur si muove".. π. This is the first positive info I received from a car dealer since July 2021, when I placed the order.

Nope, nothing, nada, niΔ..

Delivery times?
Congratulations! You have an interesting order date; it falls on my birthday π. I can only dream of getting my car in time; I've been waiting for it since July 2021.π There is a reason, though: orders for Octavia versions with a higher profit margin go into production before other, prior, orders. It's more profitable for the company, and in the times of setbacks in the supply chains and rising inflation, it's reasonable company's strategy. They have enough orders to pick from. The rest of us are just waiting for their mercy to pick up our order and get it to the manufacturing pipeline.π€·ββοΈ

Yes, this happens when the demand (over) exceeds the supply, and the manufacturer can choose from the bulk and decide on orders with a higher profit margin. From the company's profitability point of view, this is the smartest strategy they can pursue. We, the ones waiting, are the collateral damage of this business strategy.

Unfortunately, no news. I checked with the car dealer on 12 July, the first anniversary π since placing the order π€¨. Still no build date or any other positive info regarding my order. π

Delivery times?
I assume that the customers of this model will get it faster than the rest of us our orders. Or maybe it's just another advertising bait by Ε koda to lure customers into the waiting line πhttps://www.drive.com.au/reviews/2022-skoda-octavia-140tsi-limited-edition-review/

Delivery times?
The Slovenian police just received the last 53 of the total order of 203 2.0 Octavias Estate version. The rest of us, we have to wait and wait.π‘.. On 12 July, it'll be one year since I placed the order, but I'm still clueless about the production and delivery of my car. No info at all so far from the car dealer. I tried to get some information with the help of a person working in the Skoda in a managerial position (through someone who knows that person) with no success.

It seems it's not only Skoda with the issue of uncompleted cars due to missing parts https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/gm-has-nearly-100000-vehicles-parked-its-facilities-without-some-parts-2022-07-01/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem%3A+Trending+Content&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook

It's a bit of a teaser seeing this driving in front, and (πββοΈ) been waiting for it since July 2021, and still no info so far π.

I ordered a car at the same dealer. I paid a deposit of 1/4 of the total price in good faith it would be delivered in 4 months as stipulated in the contract. When I realised that delivery date would be beyond the initial 4 months, I decided to revoke the deposit, apart from the amount needed to guarantee the order. They refunded with no delay. My experience with the dealer is similar to yours; I ordered in the 2nd week of July 2021, and still, have zero info about the production/delivery.

Delivery times?
Lucky you π! I ordered it on 12 July 2021, and still no info, nada, niΔesar π. Do you mind telling where you ordered it, at Porsche Verovskova or elsewhere?

Delivery times?
I placed the order at the end of July 2021 and had the model year 2022 stated in the contract. I checked the status of my order with a local dealer the previous week: they told me the same as you wrote, there will be a 2023 model. I also received info that some orders already placed in February 2021 still haven't received the production date. I don't have any information regarding the production date of my order from July 2021. I am tempted to write directly to Skoda ...π€. I don't have high hopes, but at least I can try to get some info.

Delivery times?
You probably mean this info https://chng.it/cJG9FvGN9M But there was another one end of last year, if I recall correctly, in Spain, also of an interior supplier. I was told about the burndown by the car dealer.
-
Delivery times?
Because I got the same answers as you did, the seller said I would be informed when the car gets into production. I was checking more often the status of my order with the dealer after the initial period of 4 months; it was a delivery period defined in the contract. They also told me there was a burndown of a manufacturing unit, which produces the interiors of Octavia in Spain. There has been a lack of semiconductors for some time, and now the war in Ukraine, which cut down the supply of cables to the automotive industry, made me realise I'm going to wait for my car for quite some time π. I was curious about the experience of other customers; that's how I found you ( this thread ) π and some other discussions where customers complain of long waiting/ delivery periods; beyond 9 months.

Or we can all throw a party when we become the proud owner of a long-awaited car π

Delivery times?
π Maybe they will provide us with some sedative (read it: π» or Xanax or similar) when the waiting period is over, and we will finally take over the new car π.

Delivery times?
Hello guys, another customer from SI here, who is patiently waiting for a new Octavia. I ordered it in July 2021, the 1.5 Ambition version at Porsche Verovskova. I haven't received any news about my order yet. I stopped bothering them in December last year, and I'm patiently waiting for their call, as you do π€π
