I've noticed after hard braking the throttle pedal on my Superb will be stiff for a while i.e hard to push down, I've a MK5 TDI Golf and it does the same thing. Its not anything caught under the pedal as you can feel the pressure being released. Does anyone know what/why this function is and how/if I can get rid of it. Thanks

I had the same problem its the high level brake light. Reverse up to a window and keep your foot on the brakes the light will go out after a couple of seconds.

Just follow this and you can't go wrong Recode for warning lamps: 17 - Instruments 07 - Recode Look at the first two digits in the coding. Add the values for the options together to get the correct coding. 00 - No available equipment +01 - Brake pad wear sensor warning active +02 - Seatbelt warning active +04 - Washer fluid level warning active

I just turned it off using Vag com in the end.

How can I get rid of the brake pad wear indicator light using vag com. Theres plenty left on the pads and I.ve got the proper cable. Thanks, John

Is there any websites etc that sell the chrome rubbing strips for the rear bumper of the Superb elegence. Mine are cracked and dealer is dreaming. Thanks

Thanks that would be a great help. I have to say anytime I've rang GSF here in Ireland they have been anything but helpful. Called about the CV joint and got roughly told "Don't do em" and the phone dropped. Has happened before when I called about beetle parts.

Hey, Can anyone tell me does the CV joint off an A6/A4/passat fit a 03 1.9 tdi superb. My monkey mechanic managed to break the abs ring on the front left while doing the wheel bearing resulting in a new cv joint needed. A6/A4/passat ones are very cheap on ebay just wondering if they are the same. Thanks

How do I clear the service indicator on the Superb, can't see it when i open Vag-com. Thanks

The light of my heater/aircon control screen stopped working as did the outside temperature display. All the other functions work as they should. Does anyone know if this is a simple fuse/bulb fix or do I need a new unit. Thanks

I might just buy the proper cable and be done with it, got this cable as a trial but do I buy the licence from Ross-tech?

Thanks lads just tried again and managed to get it to connect with a little massaging, just need reassured that it was supposed to fit and that I wasn't going to break something. Got Vag Com up and working will read codes for items in the "common" section but not in the rest. I presume this is normal for the cheapo ebay cables. Will have to get a proper on to do all.

Yeah thats the one man, in fairness I was trying it last night in the dark with a torch but won't go on no matter what I tried. Didn't want to force to hard as didn't want to break something.

I bought one of these VAG-COM USB KKL OBD 2 Cable VAG.COM interface AUDI / VW on eBay, also, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 06-Feb-08 15:47:06 GMT) But it won't plug into socket under the dash as its a completely different shape, socket in car is rectangular and lilac/pink. Is there another socket?
