  1. Hey everybody, In the heat of the moment I'd completely forgotten to post an update here. After 548 days (~19 months) of waiting, I picked up my car on the 23rd of February! As unpleasant as the waiting was, I can't help but type this out with a big fat grin on my face. It was indeed worth it! I hope that you all get your cars ASAP!
  2. Hey everybody, I'm glad to read about all these update posts since I last came on here! I know the wait has been unbearable for most of us (I'm in my 14th month of waiting now). So, this week I received a call from my dealership, and—if all goes well—I'm getting my vRS this month! They'll update me on this in the coming weeks; but I still can't believe that this is actually happening, as I was already preparing myself mentally for a late 23' delivery. Here's hoping that no further **** goes down! 😅
  3. Thanks a bunch—I went ahead and corrected it via the link you provided (24.8.2021). Proud to be a member of the Waiting-For-Škoda club with you lovely lot! 😄
  4. Sorry for the spam, but I'm unable to edit the order spreadsheet—if somebody could please add the info for me, I'd appreciate it! 5. Hey everybody, a bit of an update from my end. I reached out to the Škoda global HQ, and—long story short—the car I ordered at the end of August does not have any sort of manufacture date set. I have been told that "the preliminary plan is 2023." Something, something, missing chips, Ukraine war, etc. This means that even when 2023 comes around, it could be January, June, or December of that year. I am legitimately disgusted by Škoda and their penny-pinching ways. I am truly at a loss for words. I sincerely hope that everybody else is more fortunate than I with their orders.
  6. Hey everybody, after a long time of lurking I've decided to share my story here. I've read through the whole thread, and firstly I'd like to say I greatly sympathize with everybody who has been wronged by Škoda's unforgivable demeanor and gross penny-pinching. I ordered an Octavia vRS 2.0 TSI (regular; not a wagon) with many options; a bit before September 21'. The initial quote by the dealership (Porsche Verovškova, SLO) was that the car might be built in week 44 or so; but the salesman clarified that it's probably an unreliable time frame. The time frame in question passed (as did the year 2021), with no news until the whole Mlada Boleslav situation—at that point, the sales rep. informed me that my car was supposed to be built in March or so; but, of course, the fire and the war prevented this. Naturally. In all this time, I was never contacted of their own volition, as it was always a response to my inquiry. In fact, I'd given up on even trying to contact them because I am fully aware that they will just serve me more verbal diarrhea insofar as them not having any information at all. If this information helps anybody: I paid a deposit of around 30% for the car. I'd have to check my papers, but it was about 11k EUR. I'm going to have to stick it out as I am not in a rush (so to speak) about getting the car. So in this case, my situation is not as bad as other people's. However, here are my main takeaways from this whole experience: Never buying another car from Porsche Verovškova, ever. They make it seem like them not having any information is an excuse for customers to just hang about in the dark and wait for good news. In fact, you should almost be glad that you're privileged enough to have ordered a car. /s Never buying another Škoda again. A company that behaves like this is not worthy of having a decent customer base; and I dearly hope it blows up in their face going forward. Cars aren't one-dollar toys, so they should stop acting like it's no big deal. Eat the cost of transferring/restarting/whatever the production like a normal company does, instead of crying on a giant pile of money whilst also crying about how hard it is to meet customer demand due to X, Y, and Z problems. How are other companies able to cope so much better? Zero respect for them, much the same as they obviously have for us.
