  1. Thanks for the advice. Im thinking that bhp is not everything, especially with a decent increase in torque. Plus an all rounded car with imporoved handling will be a much more enjoyable drive! On another note - My first gear really whines and this has been like it since ive had the car (3yrs later) - does anyone know what this means?
  2. HI Guys, Ive had my Oct vRS mk 1 for 3 years and think its time I start to increase the bhp. I know from a standard remap (revo) i'm likely to get to 210bhp. (30 to go....) What would a new exhaust system and larger intercooler make many gains? What other mods will help? Can i get to 240bhp within a grand (or so) and is it realistic without changing the turbo? Cheers in advance
  3. Had a similar problem. Warped brake discs, i replace them and it sorted the problem. Easy on the braking for 600 miles or so when you get new brake dics.
  4. Thanks for the advice. I'm planning to head to Brands Hatch probably around May time once the sun starts to reappear. I'm quite looking forward to doing a few track days and might even visit the ring next year. I'll play it by ear and take my Standard vRS and see how it performs, then I will either upgrade the Octavia or replace it altogether.
  5. Hi guys, I'm thinking of taking my standard (Mark 1) Octavia vRS to a couple of track days next year. Those that have been, how have they performed? Will the standard car last a whole day? Will it keep up with most of the other cars? Will remapping and upgrading the car make much difference on the track? Cheers
