Has anyone else experienced a whistling sound from the sunroof at relatively low speeds (around 20-30mph)? If so, any tips on how to reduce it? Thanks

Hey all, I had something very odd happen on taking my Superb out earlier today (it's a 2.0TDi DSG). When I put my foot on the brake before pressing the start button, the pedal was evidently in a higher position than normal and there wasn't the usual amount of 'give' when pressing - it felt really stiff. This oddness was confirmed when the car didn't start but the ignition came on. I released the pedal, tried again and the same thing happened. I then gave the pedal a bit more of a push and it started. I just put it down to a glitch. However, I then noticed that ALL of my DAB presets had disappeared!! The latter I've heard is quite common with owners, however I thought it odd that it coincided with the brake doing a weird thing also. Strange coincidence or the sign of something else?

Just resuming this thread for anyone still following it. I’ve recently taken delivery of a SportLine with the LED pack, but am surprised at how faint the LED strips are even at full brightness. I used to have a Golf GTI with red illuminated strips (although I’m not sure or they were LED as they didn’t colour change) and they could be clearly seen in daylight. On the superb they’re only really visible when it gets dark. Is this the same with everyone else’s?

Hey, Has anyone successfully replaced the centre caps on their 19” Vega alloys (the ones in the pic below)? Mine have got the Skoda caps and they’ve corroded horribly around the edge! Any pics of replacements / tips on removing the old ones would be appreciated! Cheers Tim

Also, with the nav/infotainment update, are new (hidden) welcome screens included does anyone know? I want to use Carista to change it to a Sportline screen, but the latter isn’t available on my current version of infotainment software (only Scout, L&K, VrS)

Hi all, I’m sure this has been covered previously so please forgive me if so. I’m having a nightmare trying to update my new Superb to the latest infotainment firmware. I’ve extracted the zip file from the Skoda portal and put the files from the MIB2 into the root folder of the FAT32-formatted microsd which is in an SD card adaptor. I enter service mode and plug in the SD card. It then says update available and lists loads of stuff from DVD through to SpeechResVDE (most have N/A next to them and some, like Truffles, have ERR alongside). NavDB has the letter F next to it. The start button at the top of this list is greyed out. Any ideas? I’m losing my mind slightly!! Thanks!

Has anyone successfully used Carista to change the welcome screen on the infotainment to the Sportline specific screen? There are about 19 different options so it would save me cycling through all of them!

I’m thinking of buying the Carista plug in so I can tinker with some of the S3’s settings that are otherwise unreachable. Principally I want to permanently disable auto stop/start. Are there any other settings that are worth changing? Or any hidden features that aren’t enabled by default?

Great! Is it easy to ensure it doesn't block the lock mechanism? it looks like it could easily get in the way...

I'm assuming you mean you forget to use it as the fold out bit covers the entire bumper by the look of it?

The Superb I’ve ordered is missing the rubber non-slip base in the cup holders. I’ve the part for a couple of quid on a foreign site but the delivery is understandably high (and totally disproportionate!) Any advice on sourcing this part in the UK? Any good parts websites? Thanks!

Hey, I'm about to take delivery of a Superb Sportline with panoramic roof. I already have a pano on my current VW Tiguan and using a combination of Thule raised feet and the evo wingbars means I can still open and close the roof with the bars in place. Has anyone got experience of the pano roof with bars that clear the opening and sliding mechanism? Cheers!

Did you previously own the system with buttons then? Any difference with CarPlay integration etc or is it much of a muchness?

I should also add that I much prefer the look of the Sportline with its larger/better looking alloys and black grille. But I’m less enamoured with the infotainment system. Horses for courses I guess!

So, I’m weighing up my options for a 2017/2018 Superb. My two options (both 2.0 TDi), which are dictated by budget and preference, are as follows: 2017 Sportline, with earlier infotainment system (MIB2 with buttons) 2018 SEL (with MIB2.5 with full larger touchscreen) Any recommendations? One thing I can’t figure out is whether any of the equipment list is compromised when going for the Sportline over the SEL. I had a feeling I read somewhere that you don’t get an electronic tailgate or keyless entry as standard with the Sportline, but can’t seem to validate this now! Also, I used to have a 2015 Golf GTI on 19” low profile tires and it was incredibly crashy and jolty which became very tiring over long distances. Just wanted to check that the Sportline doesn’t suffer in the same way? Cheers!

I'm looking at buying a Skoda Superb and can't work out whether it's worth spending extra on a 2018 model because it comes with a 9.2" screen and looks like it has better CarPlay integration. If anyone has used both I'd appreciate your opinion on whether it's worth stumping up extra to go for the newer system? Or isn't there much in it? Cheers!
