Does the cover confer any benefit other than the aesthetics?

Took the bold step and cancelled my order. Have found an ideal alternative in the UK (same spec and registered 5 weeks ago) collecting Monday. There’s now a few (only a few!) new/virtually VRS’s in UK dealerships. May be worth a look for others who are also as impatient as me! 🤣

Octavia VRS 4X4 DSG. Ordered June 2022 Build week 40 (early Oct 2022) Status 20 Dealership have told me it’s not been built and no VIN. They haven’t a clue why. Anyone with any bright suggestions why?

Hello friends Calling any Skoda specialists out there! looking to you knowledgeable folk to hopefully provide me more insight than my local dealership seem able to do. my new order Octavia VRS was assigned build week 40 (early October 2022) and is status 20. From looking online, that means it’s currently ‘in build’ however it’s now the middle of November with no update. Comments online suggest the next code status will be 30 when ready to be shipped, however my dealer states it hasn’t yet entered build (in contradiction to what I’m reading online regarding status 20). Does anyone know what is actually correct? Do dealers know more sub codes to status 20? I’m so confused. Any knowledge, gratefully received! thank you!! lee

Hi All! I'm currently driving a 2019 Octavia VRS Estate 4X4 DSG and have placed an oder for a new model. Estimated wait 12 months! 😩 .. I've gone for just drive mode select (which comes as standard on the VRS) rather than the DCC which is an optional extra. My current car has DCC and I always drive in sport mode. Can anyone advise if I'll miss the downgrade? What does DCC do above what sport mode in drive mode select offers? I know the blurb about DCC 'constantly assessing and adapting' but what does this mean in the real world in terms of the feel? Has anyone had both and happy to give me a comparison of sport modes in drive mode cf. DCC? Any help, greatly appreciated! 👍🏼
