  1. Hi everyone. I've been getting advice from this site for years (thank you) but this is my first post. Sorry if this has been asked before. My diesel 1.6 mk 3 octavia has been sounding a little off for weeks but no faults until this week. She has been hesitating at 1200 to 1500 revs and feels to be misfiring. Yesterday fault p1005 finally came up an hour after putting vcds on it. Readings for the injector on cylinder 2 are way off and I am going to replace the injector. My question is that when I went into skoda dealer today for replacement bolts they told me the injector on cylinder 2 needs specially adapting on a computer, but only injector 2 needs this. I know I need to program the ecu with the new code via vcds. But does this injector need any other programming or are they just trying to get me to bring it in to them to be fixed. Any ideas. Thanks in advance.
