  1. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. I suppose it'll be a bit of diagnostics for now then and hopefully the sensor might help to sort it, but I am not keeping my fingers crossed 🤣 Always the cam chains! I think I'm cursed, my old alfa had the same problem 🙄
  2. Hi Guys, I have an Octavia 1.6FSI with an engine light on. I scanned the car and it returned a P0016 code, alongside this it also has a rattly sound on startup and at low revs. Considering all this, and after a little search I'm assuming the timing chain has jumped and will need replacing, however the issue with my car is not nearly as terminal as many others describe. It still drives perfectly, and this has been happening for about two months now (I've not been able to afford any repair bills until this month) With that being said, does anyone think there's a less severe fix in my case, or is it still going to require a full chain replacement? And if so, does anyone know how much that costs to get done on these engines roughly? Thanks for anyone that is able to help! Adam
