  2. sometimes it seems like there no power then it comes back to life but that happens periodically otherwise it drives ok no white smoke that im aware of it has water in today as all the antifreeze water had gone for the second time today will certainly mention about the rad pipes when i go to the garage in the morn
  3. its an 03 the engine is boiling and you could actually see the water in the tank hissing its that hot
  4. hi all, need some advice i have a octavia diesel 1.9 110bhp and this is whats happening so far it kept overheating so far i have had replaced the cam belt, water pump, thermostate, glow plugs, water tank cap, radiator, and guess what its still overheating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! canty afford much more so please any suggestions would be grateful
  5. agreed, the clio is tiny, main reason i sold it was due to size (and the fact i'm too old for one!!) My car now is quicker than my old re-mapped Vrs but i do miss the new car(ness), if you know what i mean!!
  6. Hi, havent been on here for awhile (since selling my octyvrs). Been through the mill in the last year with cars, BMW 325ise, Clio 172, UK impreza and now own a supercharged Vr6 highline. Possibly looking for another VRS so having a look through the classified's, no better place to buy than an owners club
  7. Thats the worst news i've heard, absolutley devastating. My 2 year old often plays in the car while i'm washing it.cant imagine what you are going through, especially at this time of year. our thoughts are with you
  8. that 'womaniser' geezer, bit of a plank or just looking for a fight??? fair play all them Fabia's were disgusting but he drives an A4, and not even a new one at that
  9. not watching as i'm at work but skoda ties!!! if i saw someone wearing one i'd take the pi55!!
  10. i've bought 3 cars from there now (including new vrs) and had non-skoda's serviced there.Very good service and very friendly(pretty girls on reception help!!) only think that lets them down.......crap part ex prices. suppose its the same for all garages
  11. not a bad draw, always seem to get Sweden mind, and lose. Did anyone watch the draw, i did, the most **** about face way to do anything ever!!!
  12. i paid £18,250 with 18" wheels , met paint, sunroof and comfort pack
  13. prehaps it just me but why is the octy being tested against the golf and focus??? surely it should be up against mondeo's etc even the new vxr vectra. I also wouldn't classs it as a hot hatch!! when i had my mk1 i swopped for a week with my bro's leon cupra (golf, focus size) i found his car 2 small and he found mine 2 big.no comparison
  14. mines being confirmed for the 1st March, could have had it sooner but wanted it on 06 plate (plus i need to save up)
  15. Comfort pack is really the duel climate control and the elec windows (rear) and center arm rest storage thing chucked in. quite handy for my fags and lighter that always jumped out of the cubby hole in old vrs
  16. In 12 years of driving i'vr never hit anything while parking, if i cant park a car i might as well by an accord now. Maxidot is something else to go wrong, especially if you can f*** it up all by yourself, which the odds of me doing are quite high
  17. i once touched live wires in my hedge trimmer thinking " that looks dodgy" Also just bought brand new car WITHOUT test driving it (have faith)
  18. I ordered mine last week, met blue, 18" wheels, comfort pack and elec sunroof. tbh i was a bit miffed about the rear elec windows being extra but at the base price its still alot of car for the money and the price of the comfort pack is not bad considering what the duel climate thingy does. the other options i didn't think were up to much, would have liked the zenons but at that price, nah, maxi dot (even the dealer said whats the point) parking sensors drive me nuts in my current car and i dont think cruise control will help my times at santa pod!!
  19. no i haven't driven it, no i dont give a flying whatsit what any one thinks, yes i know its bloody crazy but hey......could get run over 2morrow, lose my job etc etc. Did manage to get some discount and "should" have it for March in time for 06 reg. anybody wanna buy a 325i SE no a Y plate????
  20. After selling my mk1 octy vrs i decided to stay off the site for awhile, especially as i bought a beemer to replace it (its ok i hate it) but after a visit to my skoda dealer today i'm back............and with an order for a blue octy vrs:eek: are there many others on here that have ordered new ones....i hope so
  21. Hi Have sold my Octy vrs :grumpy: and need something fun to last me until new one comes out. After speaking to my insurance comp i have ruled out Scoobs and 10 year old M3's. At mo thinking about mk2/3 Preludes, Golf gti's (don't know which one is best) mg zs and maybe mitsi fto. Anybody owned any of these or have any other suggestions?? cheers
  22. Been away for awhile (not prison) and been spending more at Jabbasport. Now have new s/s system and jabba's induction kit. Bloody hell its loud and pickup seems to have improved and even better missus hates it now. I love my car again and am defo not gonna spend any more money on it. Hopefully
  23. My old man races Porsche 924's and after 2 years and loads of sucess ( one 4th place!!!!!) he's decided to change. Been round today to look at his new race car, a.........Radical. Oh my god it is so cool. 200bhp and weighs 450 kg. Kawaski engine (think he said 600) and next year on the race calander is a double header at Spa!! Will make a welcome change from Mallory! I've got some pictures but can't find my lead at mo.
