Thanks varooom, that's really useful info. It looks like they may well have stopped fitting the pipe to cool the glove box, although I can't imagine how that relates to the semi-conductor shortage?? I'll either remove the glove box and cap to see if it vents cool air, or I'll see if the local dealer will give me a price to have the pipe fitted (which should confirm that it's a viable fix without me having to hunt for the A/C cap). If I get a definitive answer I'll post here so any other owners in a similar position will have an answer to this 'first world problem'.

It's mentioned in the Scala workshop manual (General body repairs, interior), under 'removing and installing the glove compartment': - Detach intake hose for AC glove compartment. So the question is, have they really removed this feature from all models in the range that should have it as standard? Hopefully another owner of a 2022 model might see this thread and contribute. In the meantime I'll try a different dealer at the weekend and see if I get the same response.

I recently took delivery of a Scala 1.0 TSI 110 SEL. It has dual zone climate control and should therefore have an air conditioned glove box. However, there's a hole in the top of the glove compartment where the dial should be and no pipe connecting it to the air con. I queried this with the dealer and got the following reply: The cooled glove box is not a standard feature on the Scala models...this feature has been removed from all the other models in the range that came with this option as standard equipment. This is now due to the shortage of semi-conductors and that is why the specification changes have had to be made. Does anyone else have a 2022 Scala with an air conditioned glove box included (or missing)? Also, would it really need an additional semi-conductor to get cool air to the glove box? The dual zone climate control is fully functional - surely it just needs a pipe and an on/off dial? Thanks in advance for any advice/guidance, Steve.

Hello all, I finally took delivery of my Scala SEL a few weeks ago - one year after placing the order! Ordered 16/7/21...delivered 8/7/22 😲 Very happy so far (although I'll be posting a few questions on the forums...). Steve.
