  1. No decent mechanic is going to replace a clutch without replacing a failing flywheel!
  2. I've just read that it's a lot less reliable than a single mass flywheel and costs a lot to replace.
  3. Yes, mine is the facelift model I've no idea then. Guess I'll just have to wait and see when i next go to a mechanic
  4. Thanks. When I was researching I thought all skoda tdi diesel engines had dual mass flywheels. Looks like I was wrong. Can anyone else confirm or deny please?
  5. Hi all, I've just joined the Skoda Superb family by buying a used 2014 Skoda Superb 1.6 Elegance Greenline Estate. When I was talking to the seller I asked him if he had changed the Dual Mass Flywheel, as he said he had changed the clutch last year, and he said it was a single mass flywheel so didn't need to change it. So did some, or all, 1.6CR greenline superb engines use single mass flywheels? Or is he just wrong? Or maybe he or the previous owner did a conversion? Is there any way to check without dismantling? Thanks
