  1. Mine is grey, and I also already have the colour coded spray paint for other bits that have needed touching up. I might not be brave enough to spray a sensor though! One question, the failed sensor is the nearside one - any idea about the access point which I assume is under the bumper somewhere?
  2. I'm so grateful for this thread. This has tonight happened on my 2006 octavia estate. One minute the rear sensors were working, the next minute I had the long beep when putting it in reverse and then nothing, no beeping, no pic on the screen, nothing until I took it out of reverse when the pic of the car popped up briefly and then disappeared again. I didn't know about the clicking coming from the sensors so checked this and one out of the four is not making any sound at all so this one must've failed. Does that mean all four need to be replaced or can you replace just one? I guess it's a trip to the garage but at least I know what to tell them, even though they'll still want to charge me for a diagnostic!
  3. As a quick update, I had an independent clear the Vagcom faults registered and had no further immobiliser issues until a few days ago when it became active again with the warning light flashing. Neither key worked so i knew it wasn't a problem with the key. The same independent came out and checked the solder joints behind the dash but these were all OK so, unable to find any other fault, he'll now disable the immobiliser from the ECU. I'm praying this will be the end of it and hoping it doesn't cause any other electronic issues.
  4. Hi everyone, a couple of years ago the immobiliser on my octavia stayed active for days so we had it towed to the dealer who replaced one of the parts and it worked fine. Just this last week I'm now getting an intermittent error with it staying active for 20mins or so each time. I'd much rather have the immobiliser disabled but the garage says they can't do this. What other options do I have? Could they diagnose the error if it's only intermittent?
