  1. How did you get on with the mechanic, I've got similar issue at the moment (struggles to start / long crank). Tried all the usual things you've tried and now starting to think it could be either. Crank position sensor or tandem pump leak (fuel and brake vacuum pump). Hope you got it sorted.
  2. Hi everyone, the altenator on my fabia MK2 packed in today and was trying to locate a replacement on euro car parts and their website says there's a couple. So a bit confused I messaged them and then they told me about 3 possible models for my reg (one of which isn't even an option on the website selection). Is there anyway to tell what altenator should b on the cat (aftermarket RTX model is currently fitted but presume that could be the wrong one, as it has failed after 2 years). Any help would be appreciated. There is a 90amp and 120amp available on gsf.
  3. just comparing meerkats for insurance purposes and wondered if anyone knew if the standard alarm / immobiliser is thatcham approved? My guess is it's not, just wondered if anybody knew or if they knew of an easy way to check? Sorry - just realised i posted in wrong forum, i will move it. my apologies. thanks
