  1. Not sure on that one, the DSG had its belt changed at 80k so i'm assuming that it probably did but finding out for sure now. Is the extra 30bhp really noticeable, does the 140 feel sluggish in comparison? Another option I have is a 2.2 mondeo titanium x sport, which is a phenomenal car to drive. Very tempted but was put off by its slightly higher fuel costs. Do you know if they are reliable cars?
  2. Hi guys, Currently torn between these two models. The 2011 140 Manual is the elegance model, it has 108k miles, full leather interior & is costing 5995. The 2010 170 DSG has 94k miles and costs 5150 (but could probably get it for 5000) it has a standard interior but a full year's MOT. The 140 is MOT'd until January and is from a dealership, the 170 is from a private seller. My questions are: which car will be more reliable/easy to maintain over the course of the next few years? Need a reliable family vehicle with a minimum amount of headaches. which car will be cheaper to run in terms of MPG and maintenance? and last (but not least) which car is more enjoyable to drive? I'm assuming the 170 DSG is slightly better value for money due to lower miles and longer MOT.... although I don't mind paying extra for the 140 if it's got a more reliable engine (and i like the interior). But the main deciding factors are fuel efficiency and driving experience. Which would you recommend?!
