  1. Hi, I have problem starting my Fabia, FABIA MK II - 2008- 1.4 TDI (80Hk) This happens ONLY in the morning, afterwards, there is no problem starting later that day. The car has run 150.000 Km. I have changed the glow plugs last year, 145K km, after a growing problem- and the starting issue -WHEN COLD in the morning - disappeared. Now the problem is back and even worse than before. The problem is not linked to the battery, my feeling is that its linked to lack of fuel...?? I have changed the diesel filter. One important thing is: When I swithed the ingnition on/off - without starting, the problem dissapeared. ie. may-june this summer, I heated plugs but swithing on ignition till lamp dissapeared (4-5 sec), and repeated this process 5-6 times, the cars started witout problem. when starting after ONE heating (normal prosess) the car would only start when running the starter for 10-15 sec, and when started, with lot of white smoke. The fix, has been to switch ignition on/off for a number of times, and this workaround has worked every time when starting in the morning. Now I have to run 'on/off' 10-12 time to be able to start when on first trial. I have talk to Skoda about the problem, but they have not been able to find the problem- Running Skoda diganostic has not give any details. An alternative could be to replace the glowplug, with the one replace 10.000 Km ago, last year. Thanks for your feedback.
