Thank you. I have been reading through the site for about a week. Already obtained a huge amount of info. Looking forward to more and getting to interact with people. Figured this was an awesome resource, so wanted to jump on board.

I'm an American immigrant to Germany and live in the south western part between Saarbrucken and Kaiserslautern. I recently picked up a 2001 Fabia MK1 Elegance. It's got a lot of km (350K) but still running like a champ. I'm an older guy that grew up building American muscle cars (Novas, Camaros, a few Dodges) and drag racing on the weekends. I have been in Germany for many years now, but have not done anything with cars since moving here. In fact, I haven't owned a car in 3 years. Decided to get something that could be a daily driver and a new project. It's a little beat up, and the electrical is flaky. But, solid body and motor. I really like it, and hope to find a local community to get involved with as well has this group. I'll post pics later when I get a chance.
