Skoda Connect.... doesn't.
Skoda UK are now saying that the next step is an appointment to visit a 'master technician'. Apparently the master technician isn't actually present - it's done by a regular technician but in consultation with the master. I captured the version info from my service screen: HMI: H29.319.79-high2GP_EU Model: GuideModele_29.319.21 Softwaree Base: H29.319.79-201806221525 CGRUN NUmber: H29.319.79-2018221528_high2GP_EU-201806221641 Skin editor; 29.49bF4/h29.49.2_Skinner skin model MSH29.319.29.3 SKIN SHORT: SKODA_HIGH_SKIN_C_92_H-HIGH2GP_EU-3 SKIN SPF FILENAME: SKODA_HIGH_SKIN_C_92_H.SPF SPELLER: (GUIDEMODEL_11.10.4) INSTALLED CODES: 00030000, 00040100, 00050000, 00060100, 00060300, 00060800, 00060900, 00070200, 00070400, 08300008 All the above "Installed codes" are listed twice: first as "Valid" and then as "Rejected'

Skoda Connect.... doesn't.
Ongoing issue with my 2019 Superb L&K.... It is not possible to get Skoda Connect to register properly on the backend servers. Usually you go through the registration procedure on the App or Website and then get to the point where you enter a numeric code on the car's touchscreen. It appears to work, and you get a message in the App and an email saying it's successful... but the car then reports "Error: License Invalid" until you delete the registration. I have valid subscriptions to all the online services in the app. Same issue whether using WiFi, SIM Card or Phone (Hotspot). Have tried registering a new account, new email, and setting up as a new owner - same result. I have provided proof of ownership to Skoda so the remote features can be enabled. Skoda UK had the vehicle's. software "upgraded" - this changed the UI on the head unit to the more modern one. But the registration issue remains the same. Next it went in for a "Clamp 30" procedure which I believe amounts to disconnecting the battery and resetting some stuff. After that, skoda recommended TPI 2053453, which the dealer said was removing. certain fuses waiting and replacing them. The next step is to replace the OCU computer, which is booked in for late April (warranty appointments seem to be scarce). The service manager did show me the "Vehicle Data" section of the Service Portlet which showed that the entertainment unit was online and communicating with Skoda's servers, but no other module in the car had ever connected in the entire history of the vehicle. In the meantime I'm going to Wireshark trace the car's internet communication during the registration to see if it is trying to communicate. There may be an error code or something in the trace that reveals a clue... Has anyone else had similar issues and managed to resolve them? Or as my local dealers says "nobody bothers to set it up, and if it doesn't work they don't complain" ...?

What is a "Clamp 30"...?
That seems to be related to the CD/DVD not releasing a disk. I don't think it's related to that. The only other google result I found was to something to do with a 30A fuse on the battery clamp... and I am nor sure that's relevant either!

What is a "Clamp 30"...?
Just curious. To try and cure my ongoing problems with Skoda's remote app not working with my car, Skoda UK have requested I visit a service centre and ask them to perform a "Clamp 30" procedure. Does anyone know what that entails? Trying to ascertain if it's a quick thing, whether to book an appointment where I wait with the car or not. Thanks

"xxx not available when ignition off" error when engine is running
My first post here as a Skoda newbie - I bought a 2018 Superb MK3 L&K in July. Loving it - did a first long trip from South Bucks to Antwerp and back on half a tank of diesel last month. Previous car was a 2015 Mercedes E250 which spontaneously combusted at 5am one morning. An odd quirk has surfaced that occasionally you get an error saying that The ignition must be on or the Engine must be running when it clearly is. Most commonly I see a message about the Start Stop system being inactive - when you click on the (i) to find out why it says something along the lines of "The ignition must be on for this feature to operate" but the engine is actually running. I am not so bothered about this as I usually disable Start/Stop since it seems to cut off at inopportune moments with the DSG. I've also seen a similar error when accessing the MySkoda online services that says "The ignition muse be on in order to use this feature" - and the engine is running! Not always just sometimes... It's just been in the dealer for a full software upgrade (the UI now has the coloured pictures on the buttons) and still does this randomly, but not every time. As an aside, I was unable to register the car with mySkoda until the software update was done. It took a lot of arguing to get it done at no-cost under Skoda Approved used warranty as the policy says it excludes software updates unless they are required by a repair. It took some convincing that mySkoda not working at all was a fault in itself. Thanks! Andy
