I figured out a solution. I bought another Skoda and upgraded to a 1.9. I’ll sell the other one for spares or repairs and use the money on the 1.9. I wi pretty much break even. If someone wants to spend money on it then they’ll have a great little car. But I’m done with the 1.6. 😂

Yep. I’ve got a 2010 1.6 and exactly the same issues. So yes it is going to be sold on as I to cannot be bothered with the costs involved. No one seems to know the answer. Merry Christmas.

So what happened in the end. Did it resolve the issue?

when changing gear the RPM drops from 30 to under 25. The whole engine vibrates until it goes back over 25. From 1st it vibrates unless until 2nd. Thanks Pete. Appreciated.

Only I get a lot of vibration at low rpm and no one seems to know why. Driving me nuts. Garage advises to monitor it. lol!

Would that affect performance? Back pressure at all? Only I get some vibration.

Should soot be on the outside of the exhaust?

Hi Great to be in the Skoda group. I’ve got two Skodas. Both 2007. One Fabia and one Roomster 2007. I’ve just bought a the Roomster. However the heater blower doesn’t work and neither do the windows. I’ve changed the window switches and checked all the fuses and still no joy. As for the Blower heater? Can’t believe the whole dash has to come out. 😂🤦‍♂️ Any advice would be welcome. But I still love SKODA !!
