Multiple warning lights, no power. 2008 vRS PD170
Evening all, picked up a 2008 Octavia vRS PD170 bus with 150k miles on the clock two weeks ago due to my MK3 vRS CR184's DPF failing, bought the PD to use on holiday while my main car was having a good used replacement DPF fitted. The MK2 PD was running a treat until today when DPF light came on, followed shortly by the flashing coil symbol and shortly after that the EML came on too for an unholy trilogy. Only got a ****ty OBD2 reader with me which showed one code " particulate filter pressure low, bank 1" Could this be a G450 sensor failure? I'm stuck mike's from anywhere in Norfolk at the minute, is there a temp fix anyone knows of until I can pick up a new sensor? All suggestions welcome. Cheers guys. Andy

Hi all, my 185k mile MK3 vRS DPF is goosed, i have bought a good used low mile replacement & Cat, the trouble i am finding now is getting a garage to do the remove and replace work without using their own supplied parts. TBH i'm not bothered about a warranty as i wouldn't get one if i fitted it myself, i just want a mechanic who knows his onions and can swap the faulty for the good and not charge me the earth. Any suggestions? thanks in advance Andy

Do you know which of the plugs is the one with the sensor?

I know it's a four cylinder engine, but the listing for new spares says three required, so the fourth must have a pressure sensor fitted? thats my take on it

Hi all, got the above issue with my trusty bus, high-ish miles but its it mainly motorway miles. seems to have caused an issue with the DPF as it is cycling on every journey now. looked to buy a set of new glow plugs on GSF, all makes say 3 required so i assume one of them has a pressure sensor built in, but couldn't find that type listed? After reading some of the horror stories regarding seized and even snapped plugs i am a little worried about progressing 😬 Thanks in advance Andy
