  1. Had the dreaded flashing glow plug symbol last week, diagnosed as an EGR fault. Rang local dealership, suggested that it should be covered by the TBM, car in their workshop yesterday, they confirmed today that the costs will be covered by the TBM, should have the car back by Thursday. Although VAG won't admit that the emissions fix is causing accelerated ageing of components, there apparently isn't much resistance to getting work carried out under the TBM. Has anyone had the DPF fail after the EGR has been replaced?
  2. My 2011 Elegance estate stopped recognising my key and wouldn't let me start the car even though I'd used the key to get into the car! Rang SKODA assist and when the engineer appeared he said there was a technical bulletin out about this issue and he upgraded the ECU (?) firmware, since then no further problems. Anyone else had this fault?
  3. Thanks for the replies so far, I'd just like to see some evidence that there is a difference between Greentech and normal model tyres.
  4. We have a Citigo Elegance Greentech, the brochure says that the Greentech models come with low rolling resistance tyres, the ones fitted are Continental Premium Contact 2E, nothing about being "eco" at all, expected to see ContiEcoContact 3. Can I have some replies from anyone who has a Greentech model with their tyre types and sizes and anyone who has a "normal" model with the same information, I wonder if their will be any difference? My details are, Elegance, 3 door, 60PS, 175/65 R 14, ContiPremiumContact 2E
  5. 3 days on and PID has arrived, installed and works like a dream Salesman still hasn't heard back from SKODA UK about the bag hook, its on the web site spec sheet as well.
  6. 3 days on and PID is installed Sorry to say the extra facilities that are on the VW version aren't on the SKODA one.
  7. I thought I'd be able to tell you by now, but, the dealer forgot to order the PID for delivery with the car, might have it by the weekend.
  8. The bag hook is shown as being standard on SE and Elegance, we don't get the picture clip in the UK
  9. Yesterday the Ford Ka went the way of all things and was replaced by a sharp white Elegance spec Citigo with parking sensors and city safe. My wife was presented with a bunch of flowers and shown around the car, so far, so good, however no PID :( dealer apologises forgot to order it, might be another 5 days I look around the car some more and ask where is the bag hook on the glovebox latch? :wonder: dealer the what on where? I get brochure show the text to the dealer, dealer says he'll email Skoda. Has anyone else not got their PID when their car was delivered? and has anyone else noticed the missing hook?
  10. Have a look at this link for map updates, http://www.navigon.com/portal/uk/karten_services/karten/freshmaps.html
  11. TLA surely stands for two letter abbreviation :p
  12. I feel I must pass comment as I started this thread. btw has anyone looked at the manual?
  13. Estimated 6 weeks, firmer date to follow, perhaps we should start a delivery thread as found on other forums.
  14. Just ordered a Citigo, Elegance in white to replace ageing Ka, it will be a Superb estate's sibling. I've found this link to the manual for the PID http://www.navigon.com/portal/common/Download/Manual/PNA/Skoda/MovexFun_UK.pdf
  15. btw its Tim. To start you have to depress the clutch, just calling names hasn't worked yet so I put my foot on it and press the start button (on the side of the steering column) until the engine starts. If you just want to turn the ignition on you just press and release. Pop along to the Superb II forum for links to the current handbook.
  16. What would you like to know? I've had my superb with KESSY for 8 months now and its not failed to operate once, unlike the blue oval version ;-) it would be nice if you could fold the mirrors as soon as you "locked" the car with touching the door handle, it doesn't even seem to get confused if the wife has her key in her handbag and opens the passenger door before I open the drivers door and again unlike the blue oval it hasn't let me lock my keys in the boot :-)
  17. I've just lashed out for a set on blinds from here http://www.climair.de/en/product-infos/cars/sun-protection for my estate. Excellent quality and arrived within 72 hours, unlike a lot of other sets out there the blind for the hatch is a single piece. Once I get round to cleaning the car I'll post some pictures.
  18. My drivers seat has just started to loose the plot, it now only moves forward when you press a memory button, it doesn't move the seat backwards! so each time you press the same recall button the seat moves closer and closer to the steering wheel. trying to bbok it in with the dealer now. I'll keep you posted on the result.
  19. I have an Elegance estate with Ivory/Black and the wood trim option, I'll find my camera and post some pics back here later today. Tim. Here are the pictures, hope they help, if you'd like more let me know.
  20. Found these pictures as well, hope they help. and
  21. Has anyone found a source of the Lounge Step (rear passenger foot rests)? I think they can be ordered as a factory option in some countries but not in the UK and I would like to have them for my rear seat passengers.
  22. Just been outside and I'm pleased to confirm the puddle lights still come on if the mirrors are folded
  23. Glad your OK, shame about the car, from experience (and some back room knowledge) CCTV will never be pointing at the accident/camera will be faulty/not recorded. As I have the memory of a sieve and because nowadays people seem to change their story after the incident and I'm as worried as anyone else about "crash for cash" risk and I've just ordered an in-car camera black box. when it arrives and I've fitted I'll take some pictures and post them here.
  24. 205 (please tell me if I'm wrong) arrived just yesterday Elegance estate, 170tdi, Black, Black/Cream/Black interior, park assist, powered tailgate, heated screen, heated washers, variable boot floor, dimming mirror, spare wheel. so far so VERY good
