Well, China is such a big land but with poor motor culture, and it is hard to find a Skoda owner bbs or club since skoda was not quite a high level or luxury car brand to Chinese people. So, here I am. It is a funny story that I don't want to bought a German style car at first, at least we call skoda a German style car in China. Cause my whole family drove German brand car like VW and Audi since 20 years ago. And I owned a VW polo 1.4litre NA and I crashed it due to tire puncture on the highway so I had to buy another car. Here came my evil friend with a 2010 Skoda Octavia Mk2 vRS, a red devil. I tested drove it and bought a blue one the other day, became a Skoda Owner. In China, again, Skoda is a brand lower than VW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, even Nissian, so everyone thought Skoda is a family car brand with no sports gene. Shanghai Volkswagon produced the Skoda Octavia Mk2 vRS since 2010, a face lift MK2, with 2.0litre turbo charged EA888 gen2 engine, same engine, chasis, wheelbase and weight specs with Golf Mk6, tried to make Skoda a sports name in China, then they failed. They produced around 2000-4000 Mk2 vRS cars from 2010-2014 and stopped, no further production of vRS in China anymore. My Mk2 was produced in 2013 and stored in warehouse for almost 2 years before it sold in 2015. So, technically my Skoda Octavia Mk2 vRS could be the latest one in China. lol I bought her back 6 months ago on my birthday as a used car, treat her well and did some modification, driven 13000km.
