What are the contents of the fuel tank pump strainer , mine was taken out and I do not know whether the contents should be cleaned out or not. he car is a 1.6 diesel mk2

Many thanks everyone. for your help, I am going to the dealers tomorrow and as the car is under warranty, hopefully he can fix the problem. I do not know whether he will take in your comments or he is up to speed with this sort of thing.

The car has done several miles before this happens. I had a rav4 for a while and that had the same problem, someone had fitted a new vacuum control on the turbo but it was not set to that particular turbo. After a great deal of trial and error, I managed to get the correct setting sorted and this cured the problem. could this be the same problem

Living an a hilly area I have found that if I go to about 2.5 to 3k revs. i get a flicker of the spiral warning light and the car then goes into lmp mode . If I turn the ignition off, the fault disappears. Ny ideas on what that might be
