Hi all, I'm getting the same issue on my 05 plate Octavia 1.9 tdi 4x4, but my headlight washers work fine. Any idea what it could be ?

I've got the same issue with my mk2 Octavia, but I used the carista app/obd. Would this be as accurate as a vcds ?

Thanks Okey, I was advised to just keep the maintenance up as the previous owner had no record of any and was driving it once a week.

How long would the sump drop take as all I need is to change oil and filter for now until I can get something newer and ulez

Hi Paws, it's only happened during this cold spell so far, but I've had the handbrake off since the first time and it happened this morning, I've already got a set of discs for it from previous owner as they were going to do them when the pads needed changing but never got around to it. I'm going to get my nephew take a look as well when he changes the discs for me.

Hi all, I'm about to do an oil change on my Octavia, it's got over 230000 miles on the clock and I'm wondering if an engine flush will be ok as I have a small oil leak as well to deal with at the same time. TIA.

Hi MicMac, the car has no problem starting only when warm, she seems sluggish, she always starts no matter how cold it is, but I'll get the battery tested. Thanks

Hi all, when my octy is warm as in she's up to normal working temperature and I switch it off, I go back to her and when I go to start her again she seems to take a bit longer to start than when cold, would this be glow plugs or something else, she has done over 223000 miles.

Hi all, whenever I put diesel in my car I have issues with how quickly I can do it, when I pull the handle right in, it stops and I have to trickle it in and it takes a lot longer than it usually does. It's the 05 plate octavia 4x4 1.9 pd tdi 100 bhp model.

The second pic is the one I'm talking about, the airbag button is to the left of the missing button. I'm not sure if it is an actual button or just a light to tell me if it's working or not lol.

The car belonged to and old gent who only used the car twice a week, not sure how to put a pic on here lol so bear with me and I'll try haha.

Hi everyone, I've got the airbag light on but have also got a button which says Airbag Off and was wondering if the button has anything to do with the light being on. The button doesn't work by the looks of it and was hoping this is all that could be wrong with it as I've connected a code reader and no faults have come up.

Thanks guys, I tried it this morning and works off double press so will look at getting someone up Hertfordshire way to have a look at that for me over Xmas as up there for a week.

The key and fob lock the car but only unlocks the driver door and yes led flashes on the fob.
