It's not warranty paint repair. The receipt just mentions damage repair and when taking my car to a body shop they have said the panel has been repainted in the past. I'm just trying to put 2+2 together and hoping it was the repair the receipt is for. Bit of a long stretch potentially.

Hi all, I have a Skoda Octavia that I believe had a paint work repair done by Skoda back in 2022. I have receipt for this work, although I wasn't the owner at the time. The repair receipt doesn't detail much. I believe paint work repairs come with a 3 year warranty? Does anyone know where I would stand with this? I'm having issues with paint flaking / peeling and dulling on the door and bonnet. I've taken this to a bodyshop who advised it looks like a failure from a previous repair and the door has definitely been replaced at some point.

My cars due it’s next service, almost at 90k. Its had all its previous servicing and MOTs, cambelt etc… all done at Skoda. Id love to keep it up but its quite expensive and I’m wondering how much it would really effect its value at this point in its life? It’s a 2016 diesel VRS with 90k ish. What are peoples thoughts?

Is that an aftermarket badge? Just wondering how you fit it to the honeycomb grill, struggling as I don’t want to take the bumper off.

Are they generally a lot tighter or have I got a crappy aftermarket one?

Just received my chrome key tip Part number - 5G0837599A It looks identical to the plastic one I’ve removed but can’t get it to slide into place. Anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for the suggestions. One from eBay arrived today. Similar to the Kopacek, the plates are actually nice and small. Its not to bad to fiddle with and you can do it just by "twizzling the nuts"

I just can’t see how to get behind the the grill with the bonnet open. There’s a piece of plastic above the grill which appears to be attached. I’ll have another look tomorrow, cheers!

My car came with the honeycomb grill fitted by the previous owner, which I quite like. It doesn’t however have a VRS badge anymore and I’d like to put one back on. All the ones I can see online come with nuts and bolts. Is there a way to fit these without taking the bumper off? I can’t see how I could get behind to fit the nuts, or am I being daft?

Ok, it’s a new sealed bottle. I’ve spoke with the previous owner and it was actually purchased for a different car so all good Any recommendations on brand? Or stick with the VW stuff?

Interesting, I’ve no idea if the previous owner has been using this oil or not but assume so with it being in the boot. Not good.

Checked the oil on my recently purchased 2016 diesel VRS and it’s a little low. In the boot there is a bottle of oil the previous owner left. Looking on google though I’m slightly worried it’s the wrong oil? Its in a Skoda bottle and it’s VW 508/509 0W-20. Can anyone advise if this is correct or not? Everything I’ve read points to 507 0W-30.
