Hey guys, I've looked over many, many steering wheel upgrade related threads on this forum, but haven't found anything that sufficiently assured me, that what I want to do is possible, never mind how to do it.
I've got a 2006 Skoda Octavia 2, pre-facelift, which has the normal, dumb steering wheel + cruise control module and also an aftermarket Android head unit, which is advertised to work with all Skoda 2's (I can only hope).
I know I could pretty painlessly upgrade to the pre-fl MSFW wheel, just by swapping the control module. But I strongly dislike how it looks, and the FL version isn't much better... I couldn't find much info on any other wheel types, when going from a pre-fl Octavia 2.
So, finally, my question is, what other options do I have (I'm willing to replace control units, do custom splices, reprogramming, etc). I really like the look of the flat bottom/three spoke Superb wheels (minus the piano black, but oh well), such as 5E0064241 (pic below), or any other ones they have on that site. I'm even willing to do a paddle delete if necessary.
Well, I sure hope somebody was as crazy as me and decided that investing in a 15+ yo car was worth it so that they could now help me!
Thanks!
