I've just fixed mine. A plastic knife is useful for getting the rim loose, then pull it out outward and towards the rear of the car. Need to be fairly forceful. Be careful of the drain, it's a bugger to refut if you pull it out of the other end!

Hi folks, My MK2 fabia has a fault again. The instrument cluster greenlight turns off when the engine is on. It works when just on battery. This means no speedometer or rev counter, and and warning lights. This has happened before, but rectified itself. I'm about to try disconnecting the battery for a few hours, but keen to hear any other suggestion. Many thanks, and a happy new year...
