  1. It’s another issue I need to deal with, only came on after fixing the fuel pump issue. My thought is I might have unclipped something underneath my drivers seat. I have a VCDS cable so I’ll have a look at it when I have the chance.
  2. That’s a shout. Will make sure to get one when I can.
  3. alright thats a massive relief lol. MOT isnt til may and i should have enough money to deal with it then. You've been immensely helpful thanks mate.
  4. Yeah that is a massive PITA. Would it be okay to drive though? Just make sure that my tank is always somewhat full up? I don't really have the money right now to spend anymore on parts which might not work.
  5. This is the pump that i bought https://www.autodoc.co.uk/ridex/8056115, according to autodoc it said that it was correct for my car. (53 plate 1.2 12v petrol). Is it compatible?
  6. pretty sure the old pump is now in the bin. I replaced it due to the car not starting, i made a post a week or two ago about it and by looking at a ton of videos and after changing the spark plugs i came to that assumption. And i believe i was correct as now it runs as it did, however with a wrong fuel gauge and also the airbag light which is now on. ill drive to college tomorrow which is about 15 miles so 30 miles total. Hopefully the fuel float moves and corrects itself, it is a windy 50mph road so im hoping it does the trick
  7. Brand new from AUTODOC. Said it was correct …
  8. I replaced the fuel pump on my 1.2 12V Fabia recently due to another issue, however I had a quarter of a tank on the gauge before replacing it. It then said 3/4 of a tank after replacing it and filling up with £30 worth of fuel it now said it is at 0 fuel. And a fuel symbol comes on (assuming) saying that I am using reserve fuel. Any idea on how to fix?
  9. Thanks for the advice, I have a battery charger which I’ll use tomorrow if I have time. the low coolant warning was due to low coolant lol, the coolant was a bit below the minimum level and has now been topped up.
  10. Just checked my battery voltage and it was 11.9V, is that of any need for concern?
  11. Ah alright I see. I checked both fuses and neither were burnt out, both looked fine.
  12. ah sorry, i couldn't see the message for this originally, i thought you had meant 61. so check fuse 14 (Diesel engine control unit) and 52 (Ignition). Why fuse 14?
  13. i tried today. I had someone open and start the car while i stood outside with the fuel cap off and open. I couldn't hear anything.
  14. Thing is though i can't hear the pump engage when ignition. So i thought that basically meant it was dead. I checked the voltage with a multimeter and the fuel pump was getting 4V i think
  15. i've swapped the fuse for the fuel pump and no change.
  16. I've been driving my car fine since middle of November as I'd just passed my test, however just before driving last week the engine won't start. I had it started a minute before and turned it off due to a low coolant beeping noise which was annoying so i turned it off while i sorted things out. I then tried turning it on again only to find it was cranking but wouldn't start. I've looked around and talked to people and have come to the assumption it was a dodgy fuel pump. Could anyone reinforce my belief or give any other ideas? Many thanks. also to note the car was sat on my drive for 4-5 months while i learnt to drive. Had a dead battery upon starting but worked fine afterwards. Hope this helps.
