Keyfob issue after changing battery (red light not coming on when button pressed)...any suggestions?
ok, lol, I had cleaned the contacts and checked for plastic covering on the battery before, but now I really pressed the battery around in the holder and the red light did start coming on. So I have closed the case and hope it stays working. But I suspect something is loose inside, we will see. The clips etc all look good though in there. weird. Thanks

Keyfob issue after changing battery (red light not coming on when button pressed)...any suggestions?
So a warning came up on the dash to change the keyfob battery, so I changed the battery and pressed the buttons and the red light came on (indicating it was working)...a few days later I go to drive the car and cannot unlock the car with the fob and the red light now is not working when I hit a button. So I put in a few other batteries/brands etc and still the red light does not come on. I looked around youtube and here, tried pressing a button, opening the door manually with key, then inserting key in ignition. That did not work. Is the fob now dead? I assume if a working battery is inserted then the red light should come on when pressing a button, regardless, or am I wrong? Thanks

I paid 140 total for 6L of the VW original fluid, came out to around 23 euros/L. Did not buy the Meyle fluid/kit.

ok, thanks for the replies...I found a seller on ebay offering six 1L bottles for 140, so at around 23 euros per bottle for VW oil, I went ahead and bought that. Hopefully it is not fake lol. It is from a seller in Germany so probably ok I hope. All unopened with 2027 dates on bottles.

It amazes me that in Germany, this stuff sells for 35-40 euros, but in the U.S. it sells for closer to 20! ugh, anyway, if anyone knows a cheaper EU source please tell me. Otherwise, thoughts on Meyle? This is with kit 100 135 0116, which their website says is compatible with my car/transmission, but I also see on the oil (ATF DCG II) it shows models of other transmissions as well. Thank you!

How to remove this driver (left) door harness wiring "grommet"?
2018 Superb III Kombi Hello, I'm troubleshooting an issue where my driver (left) door doesn't reliably unlock. Seems a common issue is a broken wire in the wiring shown that runs between the door and the body. Trying to pull out this grommet but it's not coming easy and I don't want to break it. It's the side that does into the actual door. Any tips? Thanks

No, just the pump itself.

Purchased a 2018 Superb Estate 2.0 TDI 150hp DSG (7 speed)
Hello, I live in Germany and my family purchased a used 2018 Superb Estate 2.0TDI recently, with 110,000KM / 70,000 Miles on it. It seems up to date on what Germany Skoda/VW states as service intervals. They said the timing belt doesn't need replacement until 210,000km. I purchased the car from a Skoda/VW dealer and they printed out the service history for the car: Originally sold to first owner in May 2018 Aug 2019 @30k km: Oil change and checked water drainage July 2020 @60k km: Oil change, "Dust and Pollen filter", checked sunroof, checked water drainage June 2021 @80k km: "Action 48P3 performed" I've googled and don't know what this is, maybe a service bulletin/recall? July 2021 @93k km: Diesel fuel filter, air filter, brake fluid service (doesn't mention an oil change but hopefully since it was a the 30k interval) Nov 2022 @107k km (when we purchased it): Dust and pollen filter, brake fluid service, checked sunroof and water drainage. They also changed the coolant water pump at this time. What would you recommend I do to the car at this point? I own a VCDS, maybe check soot levels in the DPF or should I pull off anything to check buildup on diesel components etc? It looks like a dry clutch? 7 speed DSG, so nothing I can do as far as maintenance, correct? Thanks
