Did you ever resolve the issue on the Octavia?

Hi Mike, Yes, the bungs had perished so I taped them up, new ones on order. There was a tiny bit of water but not much, I patched them up, dried it and it was still damp a few days later. Yes I do park in sunlight, in an open carpark all the time.

Here is a picture of it dripping too. I think that is a clue as to where it could be leaking into the car from.

Good afternoon all, Long time lurker - first time poster! I have noticed a damp and musty boot for a few weeks that has now got progressively worse. After heavy rain it drips (a lot) from inside the boot lid through the driver's side knob (see picture). What I know so far (from ruling out things from other threads and the internet) It isn't the rear wiper as I took the boot trim off, sprayed it and there were no leaks. Only the right side carpet gets damp for some reason. I don't think it is the light cluster as the carpet around the rear lights are dry. I saw that the rubber seal on the inside of the rear window was slightly perish so I have put some silicon sealant there (no improvement). All the other boot seals are fine. rain channels on the boot frame are all clear and appear to be working fine. So that is where I am at. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated as I really have no clue now. Thanks in advance, Rob
