squealing when main beam switched on
Well dipped and fill work fine. One thing I've noticed was that the left light beam was always slightly lower on the wall about an inch. Il have a look tomorrow and see if I can figure it out. Very interesting about the shutter. Thanks. I will post if I find anything wrong with it.

I don't know. It's apparently H4 bulbs for the headlight and H7. How do you tell? It's a Fabia MK2 combi 2009 all stock

squealing when main beam switched on
Hey, I have the same noise from left side head light. Noise appears with head lights, turn off engine and noise still there, sometimes with full and sometimes with dipped. Engine off, headlights on, noise there, switch headlights on while engine off, noise comes back. Takes about a second to appear after turning on light. Has be baffled. Anyone know what it is?

P0401 fault 1.4tdi Skoda Fabia
So I've taken the EGR off and no soot what so ever. Slight oil residual but I can't see any soot. I wonder if it's even operating. As ive only had it 4 weeks, I've checked the paper work and EGR changed 3000km ago. There's a cable going to throttle body which looks like it was under tension. Was put incorrect side of cam cover vent pipe. I'm examining the cable but thinking it could be vacuum issue with the controller or possibly vacuum pump at worse case. Drives well and smooth. No stalling or anything. Does anyone have any ideas?

P0401 fault 1.4tdi Skoda Fabia possible faults?
Hi All, have a Skoda 1.4tdi 2009 with fault code P0401. Workshop Exhaust appears and once whipped it comes back after a drive. Engine light comes on as well. I'm looking at possible faults to check/clean. I'm going to inspect EGR valve and clean, what else to check like sensors etc? No Dpf filter on this model. What sensors and other items can cause the fault. EGR valve was replaced 10k ago and car has been well maintained. Thanks in advance.

Workshop exhaust Fabia 1.4tdi
Hi all, New to the forum and thought I'd share a fault I had with my Fabia Mk 2 as hope it helps ye out. Details: 1.4tdi, 180k km, EGR valve replaced at 169k km. So workshop light with engine management light appeared on dash. Came on every time you started engine. Wiped fault and returned. Common Possible faults from research: EGR valve, vacuum pump. Couldn't be EGR valve as was changed, removed engine cover and areas and found pipe from EGR valve worn through caused by engine cover. Please see pictures. Hope this helps.
