  1. The gearbox is running perfectly, it's cooled by the main coolant circuit, which is taking forever to heat up, and when cruising downhill the temperature gauge drops down the bottom of the scale, and other posts on here and other forums point to the DSG thermostat.
  2. That's what I'm now thinking, does the Mk 3 not have the second thermostat, hopefully somebody can clarify
  3. Hi, thanks for replying, reading up on similar posts, the Skoda and VW cars with the dsg gearbox all suffer from this problem. There are videos available showing the dsg thermostat being replaced, but all seem to be mark 1 or mark 2 superbs , can't find any relating to the mark 3.
  4. Hi all, New to the forum. I have a 2016 2 litre diesel Superb and suspect my dsg thermostat needs replacing. Temperature guage up and down, as is the actual temperature. I followed some links and videos, have removed airbox, can see the dsg intercooler, but still can't see the thermostat. There is a long solid hose which I think is blocking it, don't want to go to the bother of removing it, only to find out it's not there! .
