Hi there - new to the forum, so hoping somebody can help!
I need a new left-hand passenger side wing mirror for a UK right hand drive Skoda Octavia, as I damaged the previous one reversing into a fence...
I ordered one from a company online last week, which the lady confirmed was correct using the VIN, but when it was fitted this week, I can't seem to angle it in far enough to see the blind spot on the car.
See attached image (read right to left, unfortunately!).
The garage thinks it's a left-hand drive model, and when I checked the part I was sent, it seems to be:
https://catalog.polcar.com/product/body-and-associated-parts/door-mirror/69C1516M?appliance_id=17454999
However, when I look up wing mirrors that match the OEN from the old wing mirror (5E0 857 521) on various sites, all of them seem to be for left hand drive cars - for example:
https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/oen/5e0857521?sort_categories[0]=50
Do any of you know if a 'right hand drive' version of the UK nearside passenger mirror exists? I'm feeling there's either something wrong with the mirror I've bought, or I'm missing something obvious.
Could the issue be the glass? From what I can see, convex glass is used on the driver side - do I just need to buy some non-convex glass for the passenger side or something?
Any help much appreciated - thanks all!
Stuart
