  1. Thanks for the suggestions . Especially E5 The plugs were changed on its Jan 2022 service ,and filter prior to its mot in Jan 2023 as per your attached chart.
  2. Yes, it will be interesting to see the outcome. Have any fault codes appeared? The cold engine juddering is also a mystery though perhaps it's due to fuel enrichment not correct. Hopefully mine will be going in soon for investigation .
  3. Gerrycan, emissions wouldn't get tested until a cars 3 years old here, during its first mot. I would expect emissions to be checked when the car leaves the factory. Previous 2 mots were OK. Toot, interesting point regarding GPF, not sure if it has one or not. I do know the mot tester/mechanic drove the car hard for 12mls and retested emissions . Eventually he did just manage to just get it to pass but says there's a definite fault. He's doing more research to find the cause of the fault. I've attached a screen shot of the recall. Couldn't get the link to upload. Perhaps file to big? Cheers
  4. It was serviced prior to its mot in January. Air filter, oil, filter and brake fluid as per service plan. The plugs were changed Jan 2022 and the cars done 5000 miles since then all long runs. I've checked for air leaks but all seems fine. The servicing is done by a trusted ex-VW mechanic I've used for some years . He feels it may be an injector problem but not sure. The car still returns 55-60 to the gallon and no problem starting, running.
  5. Hi- My above 2018 , 47k car has recently failed the mot on exhaust lamda after 2nd fast idle and exhaust carbon monoxide after 2nd fast idle. With no fault codes showing. I've found a number of these engines have been recalled due to injector problems but on approaching Skoda dealership they said mine wasn't on their list and all had been recalled so I'd have to book it in at my expense for investigation. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and solution. Difficult to know what to change with no fault codes present. Cheers, Benno
