  1. I took it to Halfords. FIrst assistant had the same trouble as me, couldn't get his hand in far enough to get a good grip on the bulb. Second assistant came at it from a different angle. He stood at the side of the car and used his left hand. It worked. He had it done inside 5 minutes and it cost £10 for fitting. Much as parting with £10 to change a bulb hurts, it saved me many hours of frustration. Thanks Murdockman 🙂
  2. It's hard to believe that 'modern' cars have this kind of design fault on them. I've told the wife to get down to Halfords. If it costs £20 it's less than the toolset I need to do it myself.🤔
  3. Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes, it's diesel and I did wonder if that lump was the filter. Don't suppose you know the size and type of fitting it takes do you? I just had a look and it's similar to a Torx, but looks like it has a lot more teeth. It's that tight I can't even get to measure it.
  4. Hi, the dipped beam needs changing and I have to confess I am struggling. I have watched numerous Youtube vids showing which way to turn the bulb, but none that show how to get hold of it. There just isn't enough room to get my hand in and I don't have big hands. Is there some technique to this, a special tool perhaps, or do I have to start taking parts off? I can't believe I am writing this....do I have to start taking parts off to change a light bulb.....but I am. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, R
