How do I download the latest version of satnav map for my Jan 2020 Karoq Edition?
Hello Tell, thanks for the info and advice. Mine is the Columbus system, it has an SD1, SD2, and SIM card slot plus a cd/dvd slot in the glove box but all of them are empty. Assume then that it is the Mib2 high system. When you go on to talk of getting a usb or SDcard and dragging and dropping from VW you have lost me so I will continue to try and do the update by an Online Update. As I have the Skoda ALL-in package I see that their service should include a software update at every visit to the dealer for service so I am awaiting confirmation that this includes the map update and if it does will be going back to my dealer, or trying another one, to get them to do it. Love the car but the contact with dealers and Skoda leaves me confused as they don’t seem to have the same systems??

How do I download the latest version of satnav map for my Jan 2020 Karoq Edition?
My apologies for raising this as a new topic but most of the earlier posts are too technical for me as being now 75 years old and retired for over 15 yrs my IT skills are somewhat limited. I bought my 69 plate Karoq 12 months ago and have recently tried to update the satnav maps by doing an online update by linking the car to my TalkTalk router and signing up to Skoda Connect for a one month free trial.I have sought advice from Customer Services, Support for Digital Services, and have followed their instructions to establish that the licence for doing an online update is available on my car and yet when I go into the Navigation Settings and attempt to Retrieve the online update I get the message “ Online service is currently unavailable”, the only option then being to select OK ?? I have retried several times over the last week and always end up with the same final message. The Settings tells me that my version is UK 2022 England North and Ireland plus 2019/2020 England South, surely these are not the latest maps. Can anyone point me in the right direction to achieve the latest maps. My local dealer tells me he hasn’t done any map updates for 6 years since they stopped doing them on SD cards and introduced the Skoda Connect system so that owners could do their own??

Set of four CRATER 19” alloy wheels/tyres from my 2020 Karoq Edition.OPEN TO OFFERS!
I am selling a set of four alloy wheels and tyres taken from my 2020 reg Karoq Edition 1.5 TSI , DSG, 2 wheel drive. The wheels are genuine Skoda Crater, 8JX 19” H2, ET 45. and are in excellent condition with just slight bubbles on some of the centre caps, see photos, NOT on the wheels themselves. One wheel has a slight damage mark on the inner face of the outer edge but is difficult to see, see photos. Tyres are 2no Bridgestone Turanza, 225/40 R19 93Y with 5mm tread and other 2no are Toyo Proxes Sport, again 225/40 R19, and were fitted new by Simpsons Skoda in Jan 2023 and had only done less than 1k miles when I took them off in Feb 2023 with 6-7mm tread. Have been stored in my dry garage and covered since then. I am asking £900 for the complete set but am open to sensible offers and they are in Todmorden, West Yorks. Tel 07876 205242, Alan , with any queries.

Alternative to 19” crater alloys with 225/40 tyres.
Thanks Carlson for the benefit of your knowledge. I did not realise that my Crater alloys were 8J section. The set that I was considering have now gone but I will keep looking for another set that will fit the right criteria, and also look on this Briskoda site for used ones for sale, thanks Alan

Alternative to 19” crater alloys with 225/40 tyres.
Thanks for the comments about changes to insurance and the offset issue but my main concern is will the change from current 40 ratio 19” to only 50 ratio 17” be enough to give a noticeable improvement in ride quality or will I get a much better ride by going to 55 or even 60 ratio tyres? Thanks. Alan

Alternative to 19” crater alloys with 225/40 tyres.
First time post so please bear with me. I have read lots of earlier posts on here about alternatives to the 225/40/19 tyres and crater wheel combination that are fitted onto the Karoq Edition DSG 1.5 petrol fwd that I bought two weeks ago and am finding are a harsh ride over our potholed roads. I have been offered a set of 17” Audi alloys fitted with Dunlop Winter Sport 4D 225/50/17 tyres. The wheels are 7J but are ET47 compared to the ET 45 that I believe are standard on the Karoq. 3 questions; am I likely to see an improvement in ride over the potholes? Will there be any clearance issues with the ET47 compared to ET 45? Will insurance companies consider these a modification as I think this size is fitted to other Karoq models and they are VAG alloys? Thanks for any advice. Alan.

Hello there!!
I have just joined having bought a 3 year old Karoq Edition DSG 1.5 petrol in the lovely metallic blue with cream/beige leather interior. 74 years old, retired 17 years ago, gone for the Karoq after 7 years of driving BMW X3’s and am most impressed with the build quality of the Karoq and it’s quiet drive and adequate performance.
