  1. I got a 6 month warranty when I bought the car from Carbase. Fixed by Skoda but paid for by someone else. I believe they replaced both the front door locks on both sides. I worked out the issue I had with the rear doors was the child locks which are activated by controlled by the button on the drivers electric window panel (I thought it just stopped the kids opening the windows, but it stops them opening the doors from the inside as well - the owners manual wasn’t clear on this)
  2. The autocar article: https://www.autocar.co.uk/opinion/new-cars/why-there-still-place-diesel-cars-2023
  3. This is interesting - I thought there was something wrong with my 150tdi estate as my late 60s mpg in the summer on a very repeatable and monthly 300 mile round trip in late evening on the m5 & m6 had dropped to mid 50s by mid winter. Also an autocar writer mentioned they got 1113 miles from tank a 2021 superb estate dsg 2l tdi 150 on a summer trip back through France with family and luggage - that’s just over 70mpg.
  4. I bought my 2018 superb a year ago and I’ve had both front door locks changed under warranty follow similar symptoms to what you describe. I now have an issue with the rear right door look where the child lock won’t disengage properly.
  5. Just measured my 2018 superb estate. 4 measurements for you: inner edge to inner edge of the isofix mounts across the centre seat 405mm, centre to centre (most relevant) 430mm, outer edge to outer edge (if your pushed each isofix seat as far apart as possible) 465mm. Width of isofix slot 35mm. I have 3 children (4,10 & 13), one on isofix seat & one on a booster seat and the superb has good width. I did invest in a maxi cosi kore seat for my youngest as it’s the narrowest group 2/3 child seat you can buy and it was well worth it - they all did still fit when he had his previous a joie 360 spin but it’s shoulder room for my eldest that’s the biggest problem as his shoulders are at the level of the side impact protection of his brothers child seat and this is where the maxi cosi kore is relatively slime. Other things to consider is that you can buy adaptors to allow you to mount isofix seats further out from centre (if there is room) . I spent some time looking at this as I didn’t want an mpv or an SUV. In this case the superb is about as big as you get, but interestingly something like a vw touran (with 3 proper seats) is a good bit wider.
