  1. Yeah it seems like it's an issue that they're aware of, especially as they've said an update will be pushed out soon. So hopefully once that update lands, it won't happen again 🤞🏼
  2. All sorted now. I had to re-pair the keys to the vehicle again (delete primary user, then "become primary user"). Hopefully the fault with the communication unit doesn't happen again because it's been a real faff to sort out - didn't realise so many things were linked to it either.
  3. Thanks. I'll give that a go!
  4. So the communication unit has reset itself and I'm now back online. However, now my Keyless entry doesn't work! It'll let me lock the doors by touching the handle, but won't let me unlock unless I use the physical button on the fob. Does anyone know how to reset the KESSY system if at all possible? The car is definitely picking up the key fob, as it won't lock when the keys are still inside the vehicle. Skoda said this can be a side effect of the communication unit going offline, and should eventually "fix itself" but if it doesn't, I'll have to book an appointment with my local dealer.
  5. Just received a reply from Skoda technical support.. I don't mind waiting another 6 days for the unit to automatically reset. But does anyone know if I can do this manually?
  6. Hi Has anyone else had issues with Skoda Connect/My Skoda app since Wednesday this week? My 75 plate Monte Carlo came with 3 years worth of Skoda Connect included (My Skoda app, vehicle status, live maps, traffic alerts, online anti theft alarm etc), and since Wednesday it's completely stopped syncing despite it still being logged in. Looked online and can't see any issues? Although the Skoda Connect website says it can't find any available products/services for my car. Thanks
  7. But surely if it's switched off, nothing should be coming out of the vents?
  8. Yeah, I let it get to temperature before I turn it off. But it's like the heating element stays active even though the AC is switched completely off. Another example is if I leave it on say 21 degrees, turn the AC off, then come to use the car the next day (but don't turn the AC on), the dashboard will still warm up and warm air would still come out of the blowers but without the fan element? If that makes sense?
  9. Hi, I recently upgraded my MK4 Fabia SE L to a MK4 75 plate Monte Carlo. I've got an upcomming appointment at the dealership due to a loud ratlling noise coming from the passenger side a-pillar (potentially could be a common fault according to some Fabia Facebook groups). Anyway, over the last few days I've noticed that the dashboard has been becoming rather hot whilst driving - so much so that its giving off a warm plastic smell. At first I didn't understand why, as the air-con unit was switched off. However, after some messing around with the settings on the AC unit, I noticed that if I set the AC to lets say a warm/hot temperature and then turned it off with the off button, warm/hot air would still come out of the blowers (either the windscreen, or front blowers depending on the setting chosen) whilst driving - albeit with not much "power" from the blowers themselves. If I turned the AC unit back on, but then lowered the temp to less than 18 degrees/cooler temperature and turned if off again, the issue wouldn't happen and no air would come out from the blowers even when driving. I've never come across this before, so I'm guessing it is some kind of fault. I'll bring it up with the dealership next week, but just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue before? Cheers,
  10. Ah perfect - thanks! It's the first time I've noticed it to be honest and I've had the car for 2 years. It must've just been the way the alloys were positioned when I was cleaning the car yesterday which gave me more visibility than usual. Thanks for the detailed reply too - much appreciated
  11. Hi everyone. Without sounding like a numpty (which I am well aware I'll probably sound like). I've just noticed this gap on the front brakes of my Fabia MK4. Can someone tell me what/if anything is missing? It looks like something is meant to clip in?
  12. Hi, Over the past couple of weeks I've been having issues with accepting and making calls via Bluetooth. If someone rings me, and I accept the call, it's like the call is connected but they can't hear me and I can't hear them. Same for if I ring out it'll say it's connected the call but again they can't hear me and I can't hear them? My phone comes up as connected on the infotainment system too. Not sure if the issues have started with a recent update to the infotainment system? Anyone else having issues like this? Fabia SE L Amundsen infotainment
  13. Thanks I'll take a look. The weird thing is that that station logo appears, it's just the name of the station that's changed to "ServiceXX"
  14. In the past couple of days my SE L has stopped displaying DAB station names and now just displays the word "service" then an number I.e Service06 etc for each station, which makes it a nightmare to find stations. Is anyone else having the same issue?
  15. Hmmm I don't ever get this message on my SE L. I do still have Skoda connect though so maybe that's why?
