Brake caliper bracket/holder identification
Hi, On my Superb 3 2.0TSI 200kW ( year 2020 ) I had bigger brakes and now I went back to the original ones. However when installing them, I probably mixed up left and right brake caliper holders - they had the OEM number on a label, but its gone and unreadable. I installed new brakes including new rotors, pads etc. but it seems like the pads didnt sit well on the rotors. The brake pedal was spongy and it didnt brake well - also there was squealing and right rotor had 1/3 of the surface untouched ( closer to the center ). Therefore I changed the brackets and now its braking fine and the squaling is gone. However since I rode a bit with the wrong brackets, now the pads are still sitting and there is still a little stripe on the right rotor where its not in contact yet. Brake calipers themselves are properly installed with the breather valve on top. The caliper brackets are very similiar - codes 3Q0 615 125 / 3Q0 615 126. Could I possibly tell which one is which based on the slide pins? There is one pin with rubber thingy on the end - is it supposed to be on the bottom or top? That way I could tell which is which and be sure about the change, since there isnt anything else that shouldve caused that problem. I just wanna be sure its all installed properly now. Thanks for any help

Engine oil for Superb III 2.0 TSI DNUA
Hi, I have Superb III, year 2020, 2.0TSI DNUA - 272ps. However, not long ago I moved to stage 1 tune by Revo ( the car is now making around 350ps ). Its been recommended to me to move to 5W40, even though the engine "wants" VW 504.00/507.00 specification. Does anyone have any experience with this? So far Ive been running Castrol 5W30 LL with no issues, only a small oil consumption based on my style of driving ( circa 650ml per 8500km ). Thanks for any help

Superb III 2.0TSI strongest version engines
Yea I meant the engine "with most power". So it just has to be one of those three I mentioned. I really just want something spacious, reliable, good looking and fun to drive when wanted. Since I really want ventilated seats, I wanna go with L&K, which should also automatically include DCC, which I also want. I dont say I wouldnt go for a Style with DCC & Canton & Ventilated seats, but L&K is L&K. Thanks a lot for your in depth review, I will definitely use it in deciding which one to go for. However, Ive never heard of Pedal box, Ive looked it up and it seems very useful. In a nutsheel it seems to me though, that you liked CJX more than DNF, and with that also pre-facelift version vs post-facelift. I dont really need a facelift version, virtual cockpit isnt a must I kinda dont like it anyway. Maybe I should settle for CJX from 2018 and pay more for the condition of the car itself ( I also always use a mechanic, I always want a full service history and I always check the VIN for accidents and other stuff )?

Superb III 2.0TSI strongest version engines
Thanks, great information from both of you guys. From what Ive gathered, DNF also has Continental turbocharger ( with wider intake ), while CJX and DNU have IHI IS38. I dont really know whats the difference in dynamics of the engine with and without MPI. But Ive also read that DNU had maximum pressure of 250bar on injectors, while DNF upgraded to 350bar maximum pressure. However, do you have some kind of advice in terms of choosing the right engine? What would you pick from those three?

Superb III 2.0TSI strongest version engines
Hi everyone, Im looking to buy a "new" car in the next 2 months. I've decied I want a Superb ( 2018+ ), Combi, L&K and something around 50 000km - 80 000km ( 31 000mi - 50 000mi ). I definitely want the strongest petrol engine there is, so it comes between those three versions CJXA 206kW 350Nm ( 2015 - 2018 ) DNUA 200kW 350Nm ( 2018 - 2020 ) DNFE 206kW 400Nm ( 2020+ ) Sadly most of the cars coming up for sale with DNFE are over my budget slightly, therefore Im also considering DNUA ( even though it should have the worst feel from those three engines ) and CJXA. Could anyone explain to me whats the difference between those three engines in more depth? I know that DNFE should have a better turbo, and DNUA & DNFE should have particulate filter unlike CJXA. I've also seen a post about the first three numbers being hardware identifiers, and the last one being ECU software identifier. This engine ( either of them ) should be good for future upgrades and more power though, right? If so, what will have to be done and how much does it cost? After the purchase I just want the car to be reliable and without any investments for lets say half a year, then I'll see if I want it to be stronger. Any experience and advice is appreciated, thanks

Octavia 3, 1.6 TDI 85kW, wierd noise after engine shutdown
@adg1 on scanner nothing is showing up, neither before or after the ride. Im not a car expert, but from what I know, water pump is on the "belt" ( I dont know how to say it in english, its the component that runs everything - like camshafts, A/C etc. ) and the belt, in this engine, is on the left when standing in front of the car. Therefore, if the sound comes from the front right I dont think its the problem here. However, based on answers, I will basicly ignore it, since it doesnt show up on scanner, doesnt cause any problems and everything seems to be working fine.

I dont personally think that is unfinished DPF cycle. However, as @J.R. mentioned, it sounds more likely its some kind of a valve. Is it ok though? Do I need to visit someone to get this looked at? Apart from this wierd sound, everything works perfectly.

Octavia 3, 1.6 TDI 85kW, wierd noise after engine shutdown
Hey everyone, week back I bought a "new" car - Octavia 3 Style, 1.6 TDI 85kW, 5-speed manual, front wheel drive, 158k kilometers. I had it checked by a mechanic and its in good shape. However, today I found out that there is a strange noise after engine shutdown ( it was probably always there, I just discovered it ). It doesnt sound that concerning and I dont feel any difference in driving / power whatsoever. Its coming from left front part of the vehicle. Ive recorded this sound : Turn up the volume, after engine shutdown you can hear 4 "clicks" and some "electrical whine". Anyone has the same problem, or does anyone know whats the problem here? Should I be concerned, or is it normal, maybe some kind of mechanism I dont know about? Thanks a lot
