  1. I have a foxwell 530 obd tool I’d like to see the amdhaft sensor output. Anyone know if that’s possible
  2. Ok so I disconnected the key antennae and then the immobiliser symbol flashed so it’s not the immobiliser. Any ideas
  3. garage has also drawn a blank so far but not a main dealer they are a reputable local garage attached is a pic of ECU for part number cross check. ECU testing did say that "Due to the variant within your software on your ECU, we have had to send your unit to our other department for further investigation" i dont know if thats common but thought it was worth sharing.
  4. Oh ECU has been out and down to ECU-testing in derby and has come back with "NO FAULT FOUND" a bit frustrating. i believe the PD injectors have solenoids on them that basically act as fuel shut off valves but i cant see that they have all suddenly failed. any idea of what else can be tested?
  5. right sorry for the gap been busy and car was away, car was at garage. its a BSW engine. since ive posted, i should say that the lift pump has been proven and the tandem pump has also been proven. pressure at about 100 psi on easystart at about 1500 rpm ( guess by ear i couldnt see rev counter. car starts on easy start and runs so issue is just fuel, could be immobiliser but im unsure of this no "key" light on dash so i dont think so . no fault codes present. can you think of anything else to check . fuel filter is a number of years old, the fuel in the uk is great and the tandem pump provides pressure so rules out fuel. also runs on easy start so air inlet etc must be ok and timing is fine .
  6. Hello all, im new to here although browsed it loads, this is my first post. i have had a parasitic drain on my roomster for about 4 years!!! it wasnt a daily drive and i just used to stick a ctek charger on before starting and it used to be fine, this winter and the aging battery has tipped the balance and it became problematic. i traced the 560mA drain to fuse 20 that does the ESP unit, steering angle sensor and ECU and i actually think its the steering angle sensor ....but.... my girlfriend needed to use the car in the morning so to save having to put a charger on the car in the morning, i just pulled fuse 20. In the morning on replacing fuse 20, I went to start it and the car just turned over and never started. aaarrgh Now, the car is a very reliable starter from any temperature, the moment there is compression it start. Always has done. So suddenly a problem, I assumed it was the ECU had forgot the key or something due to fuse 20 being out, so to reset all modules, i disconnected the battery and reconnected it but no joy. still cranks but no start. i also noticed that the lift pump doesn't prime. so is it that the relay has become faulty or the feed coming to the relay is failing. i will check the relay tonight and update. i have also scanned for faults and there were a few based on low voltage etc cos of the battery but they all cleared i am trying to get hold of a wiring diagram but cant find one , i was wondering if the fabia one was the same? i am hearing a lot of issues with thin cables from the ecu too breaking with age and getting corroded this fuel pump relay switch wire apparently falls into that category but i dont know which one it is to check continuity. i will do digging this evening, but if there is anyone with a wiring diagramm for an 08 roomster scout or has any suggestions let me know. oh and also since investigating this two other things have happened. 1. the dash lights and radio lights and other lit controls do not illuminate( just the background ones not the warning ones, they are fine) 2. the airbag light is on. I think this started with the steering angle sensor fault but me taking the fuses / battery out has highlighted some strange gremlins. if anyone has any ideas i'm all ears. I'm an engineer so fairly handy but this is becoming a pain its like a moving target!. regards
