  2. I'm a teacher in a secondary school in a rough area. I know what it feels like to deal with some idiots who don't respect anyone. I think the parents are responsible, not us teachers, as they should raise them better, teaching them values such as respect, and they should set a good example for their kids. Discipline starts at home.
  3. diesel is more economical and pollutes less, which can only be a good thing with all the pollution caused by cars nowadays.
  4. So who will win it? Can Seb beat the Scandinavians? Good luck Seb By the way, I'm so annoyed to have to wait a month between some WRC races....there should be more races! I know, the season is longer than in F1...
  5. Last time we played against Spain (I'm French), they booed during la Marseillaise (last football world cup). It's a shame. I've met some Spaniards and they were really lovely. I was so happy when we beat them just for that.
  6. my vrs SE is so coooooool!!

Job well done Seb! On tarmac noone will be able to compete with him. Let's see how he gets on on other surfaces. Next step: Sweden, snow...
  8. The first rally 08 is this week-end. Prediction for the 08 champion: the one and only Sebastien loeb of course! Frankly, no disrespect to his competitors, but I can't see anyone stopping Loeb from winning his 5th WRC title, which would place him above any other rally driver as noone has won 5 titles. Come on Loeb! Can't wait for tomorrow! Yann
  9. Ah, tailgaiters... so annoying...I'm a bit hesitant to speed up from 30 to 60 as fast as possible, as I don't want the tailgaiting idiots to think that I want to race them on the roads. I'm not a ****... but I've done it a couple of times, and yes it made me happy! I'm regularly overtaken in a 30 zone when I do 30. I just let them overtake me if it makes them happy... If someone tailgates me, I won't speed up (unless there's a change of speed limit of course). I don't let them intimidate me. I just ignore them.
  10. I wonder how many more titles Seb will win, and whether anyone else will be able to win the WRC while Seb is still competing...
  11. I'm sure that Seb can win a few more WRC, but I don't know (and neither does he I suppose) how long it will be before he wants to try something else like Formula 1. He should stay in rallying for a few more years. Hopefully Hirvonen will be a good opponent for Seb next year, but I don't think he can challenge Loeb for a WRC title. Maybe in a couple of years'time. It was great to watch Marcus and Seb fighting so hard against each other, this has been full of "fighting spirit"!

  14. Sebastien Loeb has just made history! He has won the WRC for the 4th time in a row!! He's definitely one of the greatest drivers of all times, and with Gronholm retiring, who can stop him to win a few more?! Come on Seb, you're the best! Vive la France!
  15. Sebastien Bourdais has made history by winning a 4th world title (in a row) in Champ car world series! Well done to Seb! I hope he'll do something good when he joins Toro Rosso in Formula 1 next year, even though his chances of podium might be limited, racing for Toro Rosso, which isn't quite like racing for Ferrari or Mc Laren. Another French driver could also make history: Sebastien Loeb, if he won a 4th title in a row in WRC at the end of the season... Allez Seb!
  16. Going to be very tight this year, but I hope Seb can make it 4!
  17. I own an SE, and it's not quite the same as a normal vRS. The seats are much nicer, leather, not that ugly colour. Plus you've got cruise control, the CD auto changer (6 CDs), and the race blue is more beautiful than any other colour (all these options are worth a good 2 grand and it makes the SE a better deal than a normal vRS). And yes, it is nice to have your own number on the seats. I bet that car will not be on sale for long, even though it was apparently a demo. A few guys on this site have already clearly expressed their wish to buy an SE when they'll get the chance. It's a cool car!
  18. I own an SE, i consider it's better than "almost cool"!
  19. I'd say black. Race blue is only for SEs I'm afraid!
  20. looks good in black... obviously not as good as race blue... :P
  21. I just use simple leather cleaning wipes from Hallford's, and it does the job. I've done 3 time salready, looks good.
  22. I did volunteering at Mind, in my local area, for 2 years. It's a very good place to go to as you will meet other people in the same situation and will get the chance to talk to 1 to 1 support workers. The atmosphere will relax you as you can have drinks (no alcohol) or play games with other service users. You could even do some voluteering yourself, at Mind or wherever, which would keep you busy and make you feel useful and happier since you'd be helping people. Going out and having hobbies are also a good way to stop thinking about negative stuff.
  23. Andy 2407, thanks for that link to the section on meetings, I hadn't seen it. I will definitely keep a close look for meetings I can attend. I'm a bit shy but will try to overcome this...
