  1. Hi Folks, As title says really - I need to change the Camshaft Position Sensor on 1.2 Fabia 05 plate. Is this something I can do myself or will I need to take it to the garage? If anyone has any advice how to go about it, I would be very grateful. Thanks for reading Jon
  2. Hi - thanks for the info - I ended up taking the back off the bottom of the seat and putting my hand up the back of the seat. Cot a few cuts and bruises but well worth it. Got all my cabling hidden away in the jumbo box armrest and put an isolator switch in the rear ash tray / bin - so it's all hidden wires and looks the business. Love it!!! Thanks for your advice though!!!
  3. Hi thanks for this and taking the time to reply. I followed most of this useful guide for the installation but on my fabia for whatever reason the cables don't connect just above the fuse box. My red power cables all lead to a place behind my dash board and up behind the steering wheel - just next to the engine bay. It is not easy to get to and I have no idea why my fabis is different - although I think it's one of the last of it's model - so they may have changed the design. Wish it was easy as the pictures show though !!!!!!
  4. Thanks very much - might have to try that one!
  5. Hi Folks, Got some DVD headrests for my Octy MK II VRS but having problems feeding the cable down the inside of the seat - because of the stitching across the middle. Has anyone done this before, or got any ideas how to get the cable past the stitching that runs across the whole of the middle of the seat? I'm using a coat hanger to feed the cables down but have hit this stumbling block Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks Jon
  6. Folks, Along with a friend of mine, I've managed to install the central locking kit BFC 400 101 for the missus Skoda Fabia 1 yesterday. (had a dippy moment and posted this in Fabia 2 by mistake - DOH!!) It all went swimmingly until it came to finding somewhere for the red power cable to go.......... Online guides suggests we need to look for some thick red cables and tag the loop from the red power cable on with the other ones already there. The only thick red cables we can find are right up above the steering wheel and look impossible to get to - let alone attaching another cable. Has anyone got any pics or any more details as to where this cable goes? Everything else is done so can't believe we've fallen at the last hurdle. Many thanks in advance Jon
  7. Hi Folks, Thanks for all your responses. The kit I am putting on is BFC 400 101 Have tried following the instructions but the translation isn't too clear. We've cabled it without any problem into the fuse box but just can't find where the red power lead attaches. Because of this, we haven't got as far as actually testing if it works........ Ummmm.......and I've actually just realised something a little more embarrasing....... The missus has a Fabia 1 - not a Fabia 2...... Sorry folks!!!!!!!! I'm going to quietly slope off and post my question in the right place!!! (

  9. Thanks for the info guys - prices, models and links are perfect. Thanks again for your time - I'm on it !!!
  10. Hi folks - long time lurker - first time poster ...... I'm gagging to get an induction kit on my Tdi VRS - (MKII Jan 07) - but having gone through the wealth of knowledge on here - I'm really unsure what my options actually are..... I know there's the K&N - but really want a BMC or similar....... BMC don't do a standard one for this car - and I'm not technical or clever enough to see which of the custom ones is suitable ..... Any advice on the BMC or other kits that would fit my car, would be gratefully received. Thanks for your time!!! Jon P.S. Doh - it's my 2nd post!!
  11. Hi Gareth, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but after changing wheels, tyre pressure etc.etc. the computer needs to be reset. If the tyres have the correct PSI, press and hold the tyre pressure button (the SET one) for a couple of seconds which will reset it - the light will then go out. Obviously it will pop back on then when the tyre pressure decreases. Hope this helps. Cheers Jon
