  1. Just a quick update, firstly many thanks for the useful information and links, these contributions have helped tremendously. I've been busy with other things, putting this project briefly 'on hold', but didn't want anyone following my original post to be left in-limbo wondering how things have progressed. I stripped the 'remodelled' items off the car, noting part numbers where legible, the damage wasn't as extensive as first thought when the debris was removed! I set everything aside in two groups, 're-usable' and 'for replacement'. UK suppliers were unable (or unwilling) to supply the 'extension' section of body that supports the wing and located the upper 'X' member, it was tricky to remove but carefully drilling-out the spot welds liberated the mangled item, replacement is on its way from Europe and will be plug welded in place. The adjoining section was easily straightened (thanks to some applied hydraulics) Other parts are all ordered and winging their way to Cheshire as I type. As work progresses I'll post again with some supporting photographs.
  2. Yes, I'm not sure why they have such a comprehensive site then won't sell you the parts!
  3. Thanks for the help everyone, really appreciated, I identified the parts on the LLL site, my son contacted them this morning to place the order but got the message: "Hello, Sadly, we are not able to offer you these parts. Best wishes" I'll try TPS & even the main dealer - often overlooked and update, meanwhile it looks like a spot weld drilling session will be underway on Sunday!
  4. Thanks for your response, I've just been checking-out TPS too. The big parts are pretty easy to identify & I can check compatibility with my 'actual' part numbers. It's the myriad tiny bits & pieces that the parts catalogue will assist with.
  5. Thanks for the swift response, I'm not familiar with TPS but you're right, I will need a lot of parts, I've been pretty methodical cataloguing part numbers where possible & separating the re-usable from the unrecognizable. I've found a supposedly complete front end of the correct year about 70 miles away (& thankfully have a big Luton van to transport it with) but the breaker isn't the best communicator (can't tell me if it's got parking sensors or headlamp washers) but I will persist!
  6. My Son-in-Law has a 2014/5 Skoda Superb estate 2.0 diesel (Laurin & Klement) which has recently been 'modified' (understatement) by my daughter while driving on her TPO insurance! I've noted part numbers as I've removed parts needing replacement but have a problem with the os/f wing support which is badly deformed, the section is spot welded into/onto the shell, I'm trying to find a supplier for a repair section, with no success so far. the alternative will be to cut out a section from a donor at the breakers & weld it in, perhaps someone may know of a supplier?
  7. Hi fellow Skoda owners . enthusiasts. I found the site while searching for information needed to help repair my son-in-law's 2014 Superb estate (Laurin & Klement) after my daughter modified it for him! I'm currently a rapidly ageing second-hand furniture shop owner but have an engineering (civil & mechanical) background. As well as trawling for information, I also hope to contribute to the community as my relevant knowledge expands and my task proceeds!
