First of all this is my first experience with a Škoda, I came from an 2012 Audi Q3 which was a decent car, never really had issues apart from the annoying diesel particulate filter which we just lived with.
I purchased a 2020 Kodiaq last week from a dealership, I had a couple of test drives which were really positive, so decided to go ahead with the purchase.
I drove the car down from Liverpool to Essex which most of the journey was fine until I got a random “oil level too high” warning. Which was a bit odd, next I got the random emergency sos warning which again was random (turns out it’s a common thing). So literally the first day I had issues.
This week using the car the infotainment system has frozen completely and had no functioning whatsoever, volume, no sound, no CarPlay etc.
Now I know that car computers have their gremlins etc and that’s with new cars but wow this car as much as it drives great, is a real pain to live with!!!
My partner drove to Bath a couple days ago and once again the infotainment system froze on them while on the motorway!
Is there any tips on how to live this car issues? I’m going to book it into a Škoda garage to try and see if some issues can be resolved.
The oil level is fine, the emergency sos is something I know that just randomly comes on and I can live with but the infotainment completely freezing on a regularly basis is not good enough.
If anybody can help me on what I can do to resolve these issues. I would be grateful.
My partner is really unhappy on how the car is having faults already into our first week!
