Mk2 face-lift vrs

Evening all, Looking for pointers for upgrading the headlight bulbs on the vrs, mine are pure gash, whats everyone using for better visibility? Cheers guys.

Has anyone on here had a similar issue, having no sidelights on the front working, all other lights at the front workno bother, rear sidelights both work as should, all fuses are unbroken, have changed the bulbs, a few times both 501s and led bulbs with no joy, i also have no warning lights on the dash, have had it on the computer at my local garage, and no faults are shown, whats the chance someone could point me in the right direction before the motin september. Thanks guys!

How easy is it to get the skuttle drain cleared drivera side, and where exactly ia the drain located? Just want to run theough the free n easy stuff before apending money on door seals, No sun roof 2.o tdi cr170

Hi guys, before i make any attempt, to replace my fan module, does the battery tray come out of the mk2 facelift octavia? Would make life a lot easier if it does, had anyone ever replaced the fan module without having to put the car in the air?

Already changed the coolant sensor, please define this dpf issue, thanks, is there something i can check for?

Yes and no, it comes on all by itsself aftwr the ignition has been turned off, and stays on, drained the batter bad enough last nighy it set the alarm off, rac turned up 5 hours aftwr it was switched off, put jump leads on, and the fans kicked in straight away, im starting wi coolant temp sensor, if that doesnt fix, then need to try and find the relay, just gonni get it fired up with new coolant temp, and see if it still happens, try unplugging and seeing what happens,

And where will i find the temp sensor?

Disconnect the battery, and get it seen to, have tried to find the fan fuse or the relay to stop it, that way i can keep what little charge is left in it, and lock the car, but locking it and diconnecting the battery is just setting the alarm off, the 2 fuse locations stated on the cover, doesnt have fuses in it , and the actual fuses dont seem to be in the same order as stated on the cover, and the one u der the bonnet has no details, and also only 1 relay, so ita lying out in the atreet unlocked with its throat cut and anything of any value has been removed.

Hi all, has anyone ever had an issue with the fan turning on after the engine has been switched off? 2.0 tdi auto170 vrs. Just has RAC out to jump start, and found the fan turned on straight away as soon as jump leads attached causing a massive drain,

Looking to aquire a decent kit to replace my divers door window mechanism, bought one last week, fitted it 4 days ago, window motor shearwd clean off yesterday morning, does anyone have a li k as to where i can o tain a decent quality window kit that wont fail on me, push comes to shove, im going to need to buy cheap S***e again, and modify it to stop the motor flexing about behind the door card. TIA
