I have a Mk3 VRS TDI estate, and the rear light on the drivers side has dimmed, I have done a bit of troubleshooting myself, these are the LED positioning lights within the sealed cluster, everywhere I've read so far indicates that they cannot be accessed and the entire cluster needs replacing, although the cheapest version of the cluster I can find online are £150 plus, not wanting to spend that on a dim light and I have a bit of experience with electronics and my current plan is to pop the unit out remove the working bulbs and pop in the oven for a few minutes so I can pry apart the casing, sight the LEDs (hopefully a strip of them) inside order replacements then re-wire, re-seal and re-assemble, has anyone got any experience of similar? I'm struggling to find any wiring diagrams or for the cluster or pictures of what the inside of the cluster looks like, if anyone has any advice or already knows which LEDs need ordering or voltages that would be really handy, thanks in advance!
